T-Mobile Recends refund after charging me 3 times for my new phone
So I am new to T-Mobile..I had been with Boost Mobile for years but they were attached to Dish Network buyout and service was severely affected.
I decided to move to T-Mobile & on Jan.28, 2022 I attempt to purchase the Nord N200 5G using my Debit card. Despite the charge "Posting" not pending (important) the T-Mobile sales rep says it didn't go through & wanted to run my card again.I showed the rep. It has posted /cleared and is paid for but the Rep tells me no, happens all the time that it will drop off and to run my card as credit.
She does and now I am charged twice. one as Posted (debit) one PENDING as credit (signature purchase)..Now NEITHER of these charges appear in the store transaction system.system.The rep gets her manager .Initially we bump heads over our individual understanding about Posting & Pending charges.."WHICH WAS FAIR BY THE WAY" My bank personally, they immediately post the debit (PIN) transactions BUT on Debit (Signature) transactions where a Pin is not used my bank will list it a PENDING transaction..
Once the manager and I were on the same page & I showed her on my online checking acct transactions she began combing her system and I spoke with my bank and had the pending charge removed BUT still charged the initial amount.
We waited overnight to see if the charge was declined & refunded to me or the Stores system updates and goes through..That night I get an alert that T-Mobile refunds the money to my account but the next day it is removed and placed in a pending hold .Now me and my bank had gone around and around over this Ultimately the money is hovering for approximately 10 days stating with this pending refund that it is waiting on T mobile to release the merchant return authorization so my bank can drop it back in my account.Tmobile decided today to charge me and keep the lats say several hundred dollars..
I still needed a phone right so While I was waiting on the refund I went ahead and purchased the phone but I did so with Cash money....AND YES I HAVE THE RECEIPT..I've had to file a dispute charges these things always take at least 10 "Business days minimum ..
Should I ultimately get the several hundred dollars back? Yes of course , I have no doubt of that BUT when it is all said and done I'll likely have waited 2,3,4 weeks..Already on day 9 or 10 now and could not file the dispute until the charged posted...
So my 1st official week with T-Mobile is starting off on Shakey ground...
