Two hour wait for customer support - then a hang up

I need to be able to receive verification text codes. I have called customer support twice now with a 2 + hour wait. I even decided to wait the two hours and the system disconnected me and would not allow me to wait. There is not even a "chat" area available for me to use. How do I get a hold of customer support in a timely fashion?

  • many have been given the 2 hour wait deal but were called back in less than a half hour..so you might get lucky..other way you can go is contact TMO through either Facebook or Twitter..second tier support.

    I am seriously shocked that there are other threads out there from over 9 months ago with the same issue. I think that is too long to have these crazy wait times.

    I should be able to email this to T Mobile and have them take care of it. Or leave a message, whatever, but there should be other alternatives. 

  • I've always received quick, excellent support on the rare occasion I needed to contact T-Mobile . However, I haven't called customer support in a year or more, and today received a VERY different experience. First, I got the standard "we're experiencing unusually high, yada, yada, like everyone else these days.  Second, when I 'did' get a call back, I was hung-up on during the call.  You know, I think it's time to look for another provider.  The one single thing that 'used to' set T-Mobile apart from the competition was their stellar support...and that's something that matters to me.  Good luck to those of you who hand around.

  • well add onto the merger chaos there was the data breach so taking in that last one im sure theyre overloaded with calls wanting info.

     

    the FB/Twitter route is probably your best choices to get your issue looked into.

    4 Years later this is still a thing. It happens from time-to-time but there are certain periods of time where it is impossible to reach someone when this happens the "Press 1 to receive a callback" feature will also not work.

    Its been pretty common for customer service to hang up on me or not following up on a technical issue leading me to call back. You need to call using a different number, seems like some ban or another issue on their end.
