After almost eleven years I am leaving T Mobile for good...
Over the last few years, the hold times have increased to the point of becoming unbearable. I spend on average 45 minutes to an hour and a half on hold before I reach someone, and this is at any time of the day and any day of the week. And then when they finally answer, if I don't get occasionally hung up on during the lengthy hold time, and I try to troubleshoot an issue, half the time it doesn't get fixed, and thus another long hold time. I've had it.
The only way you can get a person quickly is to call the Sales department. That they answer right away, but they're unable to do anything.
I'm switching to Consumer Cellular. I've tested their customer support and it's as fast as the sales line.
And they’re about 25% cheaper as well.

I had my mother with Lively, formally Great Call. They were very responsive and helpful. They piggy back on Verizon towers and it was pretty inexpensive, the only problem is these small carriers seem to always get gobbled up by the big guys eventually, just like Mint Mobile is currently being purchased by T-mobile, if it passes the FCC muster.

Well, Consumer Cellular just got rid of T Mobile towers, and it does seem like the AT&T towers that they use are offering a better signal.
If they get bought up and things change for the worse, I’ll move again.
I’m not putting up with this shoddy service.
BTW, I’m on hold right now with T Mobile yet again and have been for the last hour and fifteen minutes.

It’s official! I’ve now been on hold for 2 solid hours just to try to get a live rep to resolve a continuing issue.
The longest hold I’ve experienced to date, but many as I say very close to it.
You know I've complained about this on this forum before only to have some dead heads argue back to me to use the chat or go to facebook almost as if they were defending this company. Go figure.
