OnePlus Nord200 5G won't connect to Android Auto
My newly purchased N200 5G will not connect to my car's Android Auto when I plug in a cable. The [phone buzzes like it wants to connect, but nothing happens. I don't have access to Maps or audio control. Has anyone figured out how to solve this problem?
It is great that the overall location setting is on, but there is another level to location. Each app has its own permission for using your location. Maybe you want Google Maps to have your location, but you don't want your social media to see it. You have the power to decide which app can and cannot see you.
From What you show of your car’s screen, it looks like Android Auto is connected, you just have to change that location permission and you should be good to go.
Go to Settings > Location > App access to location > Maps and make sure it is selected to Permitir todo el tiempo o Allow only when using the app.

I've been researching this for months and while not specific to the Nord N200, I've seen reports that some OnePlus models have problems with Android Auto. I've found that if you go into the App Management under settings and force Android Auto to stop, it will usually connect after that. However, it still frequently has problems like the screen going black and coming back or certain media apps don't work or stop working.
Also, after using Android Auto I usually have to reboot the phone because it becomes unusably slow. I have an Iphone from work and it has none of these problems with the same car and cable of the same brand. I also tried an older Samsung A20 tethered to my Nord and it worked fine as well. - syaoranTransmission Titan
Sometimes enabling USB Debugging on the device can help with the connection as well.

It's been a yr and I've yet to resolve this issue. I've spoken to customer service at OnePlus, followed their instructions and still was unable to connect. They finally suggested that I factory reset the phone and try again. Not sure I want to go to that drastic option.

As I wrote 4 months ago, I spoke to customer service at OnePlus, followed their instructions and still was unable to connect. They finally suggested that I factory reset the phone and try again. That's NOT a solution. This issue has been reported on several sites with the same response from OnePlus. It's very unfortunate because I do like the phone, but I also really need a working GPS, so I switched to the Samsung S10 and have no issues regardless of the cord I use.

On my OnePlus there is a setting to manage Android Auto. Settings>Bluetooth & Device Connection> Android Auto. There are options like CONNECT A CAR and Connection Help.
Just curious if anyone having the problems connecting to the Android Auto has used any of these settings to fix the problems.

I have. The phone is connected to the car with a quality cable. As the pics show, the location is on, I selected Android Auto, but the screen STILL requires access. The help is no help because the problem is phone related not app related. This is why I simply changed phones to the S20 where I've had no issues

I have a OnePlus Nord N300 5G and Android Auto does not work reliable at all. I have tried 10 different cords with not much luck. When I start car with cord plugged to car and cell phone Android Auto will work for 5-10 minutes and then will "go off line",,, no Android Auto App available. I disconnect, reconnect cord and app sometimes comes back but only for 2-3 minute's. Android Auto is NOT RELIABLE.
My friends plug their Android cell in and Android Auto App works,,, my friend plugs his IPhone in to my car and it works no problem,,,
HELP needed for the OnePlus Nord N300 5G phone that TMOBILE sold me,,,,

Visit the OnePlus forums and report the issue. T-Mobile has nothing to do with the software/firmware on the device outside of some carrier aggregation, bloatware, and modem tuning.
