Wireless Emergency Alert - Unable to understand the message
On October 4, I received a Wireless Emergency Alert on my cell phone. Unfortunately, it was completely useless to me. The text message was in Spanish and the speaker spoke in Spanish. I read and speak English. Today, I went to my local T-Mobile store and explained my experience to them. They checked my cell phone and verified that the language is set up for English. They have no explanation for why I received the alert in Spanish. I am very concerned about this. If this alert would have been real, there could have been impactful consequences to me and my loved ones.
It was supposed to be broadcast in ambos English and Spanish according to the public notice at:

Some tests are successful, some aren't. Report your issue to the FCC under Alert Testing Feedback at:

carriers dont have much control over what is sent over those alerts..just that they must kick them through.
