iPhone wil not send an RCS message after updating to iOS 18
After iOS 18 was made available, I had downloaded the update on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was anticipating trying out the RCS messaging feature, I discovered right away that it isn’t allowing rcs mess...
UPDATE: I reset network settings (used iCloud to save and restore WiFi and BT passwords) and now I have RCS service (using WiFi calling through my home router.) Didn't work the first time I tried it, so 🤷.
Can even do group chats with mixed iOS and Android devices, which is a first. And Android users no longer get an error message saying I'm "off line" when they text me.
UPDATE: have since upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro Max. the same situation. exsits. none of the recommended troubleshooting tactics work. The customer service rep even told me to take it to the store to get a warranty exchange. I told him that happened on the 13 Pro Max as well therefore it's not the phone. My Niece's and Sister's iPhones has RCS working fine. my line is the problem. It shows that they aren't too knowledgeable about fixing the problem, and don't have any real solution for this problem. so I am just going to switch carriers.
