Precio Fijo
On the Magenta 55+ it says taxes and fees are included in the price $70 (with auto pay) and is locked in for life. I just got a text saying my price is going up $5/month per phone. What happened to my price lock GUARANTEE? You can charge more to new customers, but do not change the terms of our contract!! Eventually we will age out….

Everyone should open up a complaint with the FCC. It will take 5 minutes or less.
Do you have the link to FCC complaint option?

So, when I signed up for T-mobile (and again when I signed up for internet), I was told that there would NEVER BE A PRICE INCREASE. Today, I am informed that that PROMISE is being BROKEN. Boooooo!!!

Are they offering a less expensive plan for seniors?
NO. But they are trying to get you to switch to a new senior plan with no additional benefits except to maybe save you a buck or two on taxes, BUT this is sneaky and don't do it because the taxes and 'fees' are NOT included and they can go up anytime which gives them the ability to increase the price anytime they want. DON'T DO IT!
On my current plan, taxes and fees are included.

Broken promises indeed!
We were also one of the first on the over 55 plan…….there will never be a price increase!
we have been loyal for many years and paid our bills promptly.
Loyalty from corporate America is now a thing of the past……..screw the little guy!

The "Uncarrier" has become .. just another carrier. I recall when I had an AT&T plan 'for life'. It wasn't either. T-Mobile's "Price Lock", however is effectively immoral, as it does nothing
You may also want to hit up the BBB.

I'm willing to join a class action suit. T Mobile services have been less than stellar over the last several months. I call once or twice a month regarding connectivity issues. They deliberately slow down my speed.

I have just completed the submittal of my complaint to the FCC. Let's inundate them with DETAILED complaints. This is obvious breach of contract by T-Mobile, and we need to stand against it.
I sent them documentation from the original website info on the plan where it says the price only changes if the customer changes or opts out of their plan, plus the chat support transcript to me when I signed on, saying the same thing.

They have already changed the website to show that my plan cost has gone up. I copied the following statement from their site this morning. (They may have taken it down by now!)
"Starting January 18, 2024, customers activating or switching to an eligible rate plan get our Price Lock guarantee that only you can change what you pay-and we mean it! Para demostrarte que hablamos en serio, si hacemos un cambio de precio y decides irte, simplemente avísanos dentro de los 60 días y cubriremos el costo de tus cargos de servicio recurrentes de tu mes final.
Los clientes que calificaron para el precio fijo antes del 18 de enero no verán los cambios siempre que mantengan su plan elegible. For more information, please contact us by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone or calling 1-800-937-8997.”
You can see the "weasel language" for those who signed up on or after 1/18/24. However, for those of us who entered into the agreement prior to that date, they have reiterated their contract with us. "...won't see ANY changes as long as they maintain their qualifying plan…."

Sent this to the FCC Complaint site. We need to swamp them with complaints. ---- Signed up with T-Mobile in 2018. This was their 55+ plan which was $30/line, locked in for life. They absolutely stated "FOR LIFE". Now they are going to institute a price increase. We can no longer access our account information. I have attempted to get into my "Account Details" and keep getting "We Got Our Wires Crossed' error message. It looks like T-Mobile has locked us out of our accounts. Please help us. There have to be hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of senior citizens that will be getting hit with increased fees per line. They are committing fraud by not honoring the price lock.

This is bull! How despicable to raise the price of the 55+ plan. It appears to be a poorly veiled plan to push people to newer plans which cost more. I feel I paid inflated prices for new phones through T-Mobile, but justified it given the plan price. Squeezing those of us who are over 55 who are loyal, honest, and believe in right and wrong is a truly ugly move by T-Mobile. I hope they thought out the optics of this when someone calls them on it on the internet or television.

Like the other T-Mobile customers in this thread, I signed up for a 55+ rate plan with the assurance that my monthly rate was price-locked for life. This incentive was a primary reason that I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile. Now, T-Mobile is trying to raise my monthly rate by $10.00. When I spoke to their customer service people this morning they told me that there was nothing that they could do to fix the problem. I also noted that they changed all of the marketing information on their web site to delete all references to the price-lock guarantee which I was offered when I set up the account. We need to find a way to complain loudly to T-Mobile about this breach of contract and breach of trust. If we do nothing, they will raise our rates again in the future. Let's fight back. Thanks for listening.
