Why are we being penailzed for paying with a credit card?
T-Mobile already took away the $5 discount that I had for auto-pay, and now will add a $10 penalty if I do not give them a debit card or bank account!!! This is daylight robbery and I am very disappointed in these tactics. I have been with T-mobile since 2006, now I will probably have to change providers. The $10 increase is more than any credit card company charges fees for processing a transaction. Really T-Mobile???

Don't ever give companies like this your bank account or debit card number. They have too many data breaches and are not capable of securing their networks properly. Paying by CC is ok since you can stop the card and limit the damage. To stay with T-Mobile, just cancel your autopay since you won't be getting a discount anyway. Then have them send you a paper bill and you will have the option of paying by check (most expensive for T-Mobile), paying by your bank's bill pay (next most expensive for T-Mobile), or by logging into your T-mobile account and paying by CC (still expensive for T-Mobile). In this way, T-Mobile won't be realizing cost reductions on the backs of their customers.

Tmobile gets hit for a surcharge everytime they run a credit card. Usually 6% so it may not be worth it.

Why do we have to pay with our bank account instead of a credit card for auto pay for the 55 plus plan? Too many chances of data breaches.

Removing auto pay from credit cards helps avoid this from costing the company too much money.
Did T-Mobile actually remove the option of credit cards on autopay, or just remove the $5 discount?

Just the discount.

Math is off. If it's 4% off the max end(which I seen large businesses get 6%, and small businesses get closer to 8%) it's per $100 isn't 5-20 cents. It's $1-4. If they are getting in fact charged 6% then they lose $6 per $100. If they give the $5 discount that's $1 per hundred. That adds up monthly, and that would be at least 10M loss per month, and 100M per year. Don't forget T-Mobile also pays the taxes on top of that. We know for a fact for a long time T-Mobile profit margins are much lower than AT&T, and Verizon all while they also charge fees which is honestly nothing more than padding their profits margins.
No I do not work for T-Mobile or a shill. The company I work for depending on region we use all 3 providers which ever gives us the best coverage in those areas. We often have to go to remote areas and coverage is a must. - MagicalWingLTRoaming Rookie
It's a $20 discount per line on my bill. You guys do the math. That's $60 that my family is saving. In order to get that discount from your bill they are forcing customers to use debit or bank. Pretty sure they are not losing as much money as the customers will be from their stupid stunt...

This doesn't sound right. Can I see proof? I recently bought a phone for my son. I'm paying on my Apple Card to getting 3%. It's an Apple/T-Mobile promo.

Sorry but I can't show that kind of info because it's a part of my bill which I can't show... We are on the 55+ plan. That may have something to do with the auto pay discount... I'm just guessing
