Why are we being penailzed for paying with a credit card?
T-Mobile already took away the $5 discount that I had for auto-pay, and now will add a $10 penalty if I do not give them a debit card or bank account!!! This is daylight robbery and I am very disappointed in these tactics. I have been with T-mobile since 2006, now I will probably have to change providers. The $10 increase is more than any credit card company charges fees for processing a transaction. Really T-Mobile???

T mobile has changed my plan in two ways and I'm extremely pissed. One, they have increased my bill because they say Netflix increased their fee, two they increased my bill by changing auto pay. Total increase $234.00 per yr.
I'm pissed.

Who do I talk to about being screwed with the new autopay rules? Pathetic. They obviously don't give a crap about their customers. Pay with a cc and lose the $15 discount, or pay with a debit card and lose the benifts of paying with a cc. PATHETIC. What idiot came up with this idea I wonder. :( I think I'm looking for a new internet provider and cell service. 5 years a customer and they don't give a crap. So sad.

Let's all bombard Mike's twitter feed with frustration over the crap they are pulling with taking away CC options and Auto Pay. I for one think it's a cheap and crappy thing to do to people who have been with he company for many many years. Pathertic. Let him know how you feel. Here is his twitter account @MikeSievert -- FILL IT UP WITH COMPLAINTS -- Let have our voices heard. What can it hurt?

I don't use twitter but I did cancel autopay and am trying to lower my plan to the cheapest POS plan they have until I leave and go with someone that believes in customer loyalty.

I realize T-Mobile has the right to do this, but I cannot understand why T-Mobile cares whether customers pay by credit card of check or debit card. I don't see why it matters to T-Mobile. I pay all my bills on one credit card for many reasons. Gracias.

Why not give customers the option to pay the 2% that credit card companies charge for processing? It could be cheaper all the way around and customers stay safer from hackers

Let's be real, were it the extra 1% to 4% T-mobile is charged they could simply net down the discount by a fixed amount. We all know that they are paying closer to 1% of the discount back for processing, but math helps: $5.00 per account is 5 to 20 cents, maximum. So credit card payers get a $4.90 or $4.80 discount, check and debit $5.00 and few people leave.
Again, reality, my discount is $30. So I'm tempted to find an expiring debit card that must be updated monthly. Or a single use bank account that autopays simply to protect my real bank account from exposure with no back end protection. I'll bet those thefts reported here of credit card numbers by employees left Tmobile a considerable expense due to legitimate charge backs since they didn't adequately secure the data. Plus the possibilities that former customers leave without paying when frustrated by mistreatment, real or imagined.
I pay my bills but might be better served by lower priced MVNOs and nearly $400 a year is incentive enough.
From a bigger picture these are the kind of moves companies that don't feel competitive pressure make, just as we were warned when Sprint was acquired. It's time the FTC looked at existing ologopoly markets like telecom and airlines. Unbreaking eggs is possible but it takes hard work by lawyers as in Standard Oil and consistent enforcement, not like AT&Ts regional monopolies.
How about you not close this as answered T-Mobile? Answering it with a self-serving response from a deluded customer is malarkey.

V doesnt kick out any auto pay discount for CCs either..debit card, bank info or their own Verizon CC...but not your own CC...

These are the LEAST secure methods, offering no protections at all?
Why would you force this switch?
Why would you expect me to accept it?

They're not forcing me to switch, I'm still going to pay with a cc and not get the discount.
