Why are we being penailzed for paying with a credit card?
T-Mobile already took away the $5 discount that I had for auto-pay, and now will add a $10 penalty if I do not give them a debit card or bank account!!! This is daylight robbery and I am very disappointed in these tactics. I have been with T-mobile since 2006, now I will probably have to change providers. The $10 increase is more than any credit card company charges fees for processing a transaction. Really T-Mobile???

T-Mobile, are you really this tone deaf to your community. There is absolutely no way i will give you banking info. for the price my phone bill will go up. I might as well take my family over to verizon. At least i go in knowing i'm getting screwed. This is seriously a bad move.

Gramps28, hacking isn’t the issue for me; it is a). loss of insurance and b). loss of trust.

I'm in the same boat since my cc pays for insurance so I'm not switching my form of payment.
I haven't had to use the insurance but it's nice to know I have it if needed.

I will NOT provide my debit card nor bank account info due to the obvious reasons.
You have been hacked before and it will happen again (either internal or external).
How much can the CC fee be??? I can't believe it's anywhere near $5/line..
Why not reduce the autopay discount by a small amount if you’re really that greedy.
I will certainly be looking at other options.

I have no problem with paying the processing fee, I have to pay the processing fee on my utilities, even with a debit card. I completely understand that credit card companies have to make money for the processing, and even the denial of payments, not to mention the fact that they have had to employ more tech teams due to hacking. The flip side could be that T-Mobile could break their promise of not raising their prices and add those charges into the monthly bill.

Providing debit card or bank account to T-Mobile looks dangerous to me :)

I think it is really dangerous to provide BANK account info to T-Mobile - because in few month hackers will get it for sure according to T-Mobile data breaches history. Credit card charges - you can dispute - bank, debit card charges - go to court …

I just spoke with Burton a customer service rep with Tmobile. I asked if the option to pay with credit cards is still in effect and I was told you CAN pay with credit cards but you just wont receive the $5 discount for AUTOPAY
He told me that he would note my account and I would still be able to have payments made by credit card. I personally don't mind the additional $5 since I'm on the Magenta plan. It's more important that they don't have access to banking account.
There will always be hackers out there and all carriers fall victim to them, but I’d rather they have my credit card than my banking account.

Our Ventura X credit card covers the device enrolled in the account provided if we make a monthly payment with visa credit card. Now we loose the coverage for our devices. This is very bad on the tmobile part.

they didnt remove using a CC card to pay...they removed getting the discount for using the CC for auto pay.
