No more than 1-2 bars, phone calls drop every time

I have had T mobile since Jan 22. But phones never go beyond 1 or 2 bars & 95% of phone calls drop randomly, especially when sitting still but close to the router/modem for Spectrum. Have run so many online solves but just had son from college on a call and it dropped and couldn't reach him bag again!
