Can't Connect my Chamberlain MyQ Wifi garage door to my Tmobile Home Internet
I recently got Tmobile Home Internet. Everything else has connected with no problem, but for some reason my MyQ garage door won't. I follow all the steps correctly, select my network name, enter the password (correctly, I've double checked), it says it's connecting and then I get an error message saying it was taking longer than normal and to make sure i entered the right password (which i did) and that the signal was strong (which it is). What am I doing wrong?
I just got mine set up last night.
I had to hook it up to my DECO WiFI Mesh System.
It wouldnt connect at first but this is what I did:
I had to set up a guest network under the Deco that wasnt password protected.
Then I connected the Garage Opener to the guest network with the MyQ App
(Make sure your phone is connected to the guest network while setting up or the doors wont work)
Next you will get on your regular wifi connections on youir phone and change the wifi settings back to original on your MyQ app. (the opener will allow a password protected wifi channel now).
New Tmobile Router model # 5688w
Solves this problem. They will upgrade for free. They now know of the issue
