How to connect eero mesh system to T-mobile gateway

I have my t-mobile gateway connected to my Eero mesh extender via ethernet...but when I look at t-mobile webpage (192.168.12.1), the network overview shows  Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System as 0 connected. How do I connect my mesh system to my gateway?
