Port 1666 blocked?

I am using several software tools that connect to services on a variety of ports.   (Perforce on port 1666 for example).  I just signed up for T-Mobile Home internet and it appears this port is blocked.  The t-mobile router is barebones and as far as I can tell doesn't have any way to set up port settings.  This is a deal breaker for me.  Is this a known issue and is there a way around this?

  • Port forwarding is disabled on all T-Mobile gateways. Watch this video from Nater Tater on YouTube to see the workaround. If that doesn't work for you, T-Mobile Home Internet is the wrong service for your needs.

Using T-Mobile Home Internet all ports are blocked for incoming traffic it is behind CGNAT which dosnt give you an IP address that is your alone.

Thanks!  This was helpful.  Technically this solution works as a reverse proxy and works for my situation and I'm guessing I could use a VPN as well - but then I'm paying $60/yr just to use my internet and have the burden of keeping it running and dealing with an extra layer of complexity and networking and the performance hit.  I can get other internet providers in my area that are comparable in price/speed so I've opted to drop t-mobile.
