being charged for an international which didn't get answered
Hi, does anyone know if T-Mobile charges for international call attempts, meaning the call was not answered?
If you are in the US and call an international number (not Mexico or Canada), the time that it is ringing and if the call goes to voicemail could be charged as an international call. If you leave a voicemail, you are definitely charged because you are connected and talking, so you should probably keep that message short and sweet.
If the call reaches your device, it is billable whether you answer it or not. As long as you allow your device to connect to towers internationally, you risk being charged for calls and potentially texts as well, depending on your plan. It is best to keep your phone in Airplane Mode when traveling internationally if you don't want to incur any doing charges.
