High International Charges
My daughter went on a cruise and while in St. Martin we were charged $64 for 84 texts and 6 minutes of talk time. Seems excessive. Also, I would assume that magenta plan would include the international rates on this page? https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/roaming?country=Saint%20Martin
international sure..however if the majority of those were used while on the ship you are actually paying for the ships service and not really international..
Well, she did not use the ship-based service. She used the phone while in St. Martin.
Look at the details. If she turned the phone on while on the ship, she could have used data or incurred huge charges without doing anything overt. It turns out that 84 texts and 6 minutes of talk cost about $64 on your average cruise ship.
