Internation Service
I have 5 cell phones on my account. I activated international coverage a week ago. NONE of my phones have had acceptable service. My phone went active when I arrived in Paris, France, last Thursday, June 20. I had service for about 2 hours. Since then, I have spend over 10 hours of my family vacation time trying to get someone at T-Mobile to address our « outage » I explained to the tech folks that my phone doesn't work so, you guessed it, they call me on m,y phone and leave a voice mail message.
When we go outside and face T-Mobile HQ in Washington, we occasionally get a whopping 3G connection for about 10 minutes. I have spent nearly 7 calls in excess of 45 minutes EACHD on hold (ok, ignore) only to have my call sent to Tech Support; then, I wait another 45 minutes to talk to someone - someone who has no idea how to resolve the problem.
I reached out to Mike Sievert, CEO, and he promised me that someone would be in touch shortly. That was at 8:02 PM tonight, Paris time. It is 9:57 PM and I haven't heard from anyone.
Bottom line, I will try to be a tourist tomorrow - again with NO SERVICE. What happens if my 2 year-old granddaughter falls and needs an ambulance? Maybe I can send smoke signals.

It is also affecting Canadian carriers as well. Roaming in Canada seems fine, at least for some. I am currently in Toronto and am not having any roaming issues but I have seen others report issues in other forums roaming up in western Canada.

My android has been down in Avignon for two days, my wife's Iphone went down yesterday morning. So frustrating when your data is the only way that you planned to travel and find places to visit.

My service was back when I woke up this morning then 2 hours later, it's down again. Still no service on personal and work phones (T-Mobile and Verizon).

All 3 major carriers have lost roaming service in Europe. It has to do with a third party company that coordinates the roaming. Nothing TMo can do (or Verizon or ATT).

It was fine for me until I traveled from Lyon to Dijon today. My T Mobile initially worked but for the past 3 hours no signal. Mi AT@T was lost signal for part of my time in Dijon cut now back since returning to Lyon. Contacted T Mobile live agent who confirmed they are working on it… suggested I remove automatic selection but that did not make a difference.

At the risk of jinxing it…. I appear to have had service restored near Nice France as of 17:55 Thurs. interestingly, it was while I was in support chat with them to unlock my phone when it happened 😉

Tried to get them to unlock via chat and was taking a very long time so I called their support number. Ironically, when I called their own support number it said "due to a system failure we are unable to assist you". And then they hung up on me.
