viaje internacional

I I’m on the Go5G plus plan, i am traveling internationally to Italy and I plan on purchasing the data travel pass

my question is when I'm in Italy and I need to call a local Italian phone number from my T-Mobile phone. How much is the cost per minute? I have called T-Mobile customer service No less than 10 times and since they moved it off shore, cannot explain or give me an answer. In the past T-Mobile would unlock your phone and you could put a dual Sam in for local calling however, now they have these strict new rules that will not unlock a phone until it's paid off. I've been with T-Mobile for 10 years and never had these type of problems it seems like the company is going downhill and doing a lot of cutting, which is really driving the service to be very, poor

Is your phone a Samsung?  In theory, you can get a 'temporary ' unlock on Samsung.   Also, if using Wifi, calling US/Canada is free, not sure about local Italian numbers.  I did use the "free" TMobile data roaming un then past,  it was slow, but usable. Probably feels worse not with more Ad based/video media, and mostly useful for text and basic Google maps info
