outrageous cost for international call, fees not published

I am on a Magenta Max International Plan. I was charged $12 for a 4 minute call from the US to Germany. Upon calling customer support for some 40 Minutes I was told this is the current rate as I have not actual "international" features for voice calls.

The actual fees for calls to Germany are not published. I cannot see it either on the app or on the t-mobile website.

This is robbery.

You had the choice on whether to make the call or not whether you knew the price or not.

  • Hit sent too soon. I actually ended up spending a total of 70 minutes to learn that t mobile does not publish the price per minute. So that means t-mobile sells me a product but refuses to tell me before I use the product what is costs. There is no "price list". It is "trust us and use us". We then rape you by charging you $3 per minute ...

  • Love that answer, yes it was my choice to make the call. My beef is with t-mobilde not telling me what it costs.. I love to make educated decisions. They do not educate me!!

This call was to a mobile line in Germany.

I think $3 per minute is the rate from US (and Canada and Mexico) to most other countries.  If you are going to call often, add "stateside international talk" which is $15 per month, for one line.

This page describes the add-on.  It also has a country lookup, but it seems to be broken.  I agree with the OP; this information should be easier to find.

However, for calling another mobile line, I would use WhatsApp. (free Wi-Fi calling, or uses data plan.)
