I'm going to trade-in iPhone 15 with my current iPhone 11 next month, and I scheduled to travel to Taiwan later this year. Is there anyone can advise if I can install the prepaid eSIM provided by Taiwanese Tel comapny? Thank you in advance.

Your device will have to be SIM unlocked before it can work with a non-T-Mobile SIM card or eSIM. Your device and account will need to meet all of the SIM Unlock Policy requirements before the device will qualify to be SIM unlocked.

So basically don't finance the phone because it wiil need to be paid off to be eligible for an unlock code.

Note: I'm not sure about pay/prepay, but on some devices (S21?) you can get a 'temporary unlock' which would work for 1 month. I haven't tried eSIM, so I won't vouch for it.

Apple doesn't offer temporary unlock codes, it's all or nothing.

Thank you all again.
