Unable to receive authorisation code through SMS
Buenas tardes,
Can someone please advise me as I am based in Australia, but I have a Czech T-Mobile SIM card. I am trying to make a payment from Australia, using my Czech bank account, but when I insert the T-mobile SIM card in my unlocked phone here in Australia, I do not receive the authorisation code on my Czech T-mobile number from the bank. Any idea why this is not happening? It was possible to do it in the past when I had T-mobile pay and go, but since my last visit in the Czech republic I changed to a T-mobile contract, which has since been cancelled as I now live in Australia. I find it really frustrating, I tried calling the US T-mobile nr to talk to someone about it, but no one available to talk and no one replied to the email which I sent to the czech Tmobile branch… Can someone please help me as I need to make a payment. Gracias.
A lot of banks restrict 2FA to within the country they are based in to prevent international fraud. You might want to contact your bank or try putting your device on WiFi Calling to see if the code comes in over that instead of trying to receive it over a foreign network.
