No home internet when using 4G LTE Cellspot which connects to the wifi modem
- Hace 7 años
Hey there! I know that home networks can be confusing even to those that are tech savvy. If you have our LTE cell spot (the device that allows you to get full signal in your home) the best way to integrate this into your existing network would be to simple plug an Ethernet cable from one of the 4 ports (labeled 1-4) on the back of your existing Wi-Fi/modem into the internet port on the LTE cell spot. This way, you can continue to connect your devices to your existing Wi-Fi network and your phones would simple pick up the coverage from the cellspot.
We have a super helpful set up guide for the cellspot here that I highly recommend checking out. Configuración del enrutador Wi-Fi Cellspot
Iam pissed because when I was talking to a rep. On the phone about this cellspot he asked.me if I had home internet at the house and I told him No I do not. He said that is fine all I need is my phone.....good. Now when I receive the device and plug it in nothing is happening.....so I go and find videos on setting up the cellspot from T-mobile and all the videos show that I need to plug the ethernet cable from a router or modem that has home internet WHICH I TOLD THE GUY I DONT HAVE HOME INTERNET THAT IS WHY I RILY ON MY PHONE INTERNET WHiCH IN THIS CASE HAS WEEK SIGNAL AND THAT IS WHY I GOT THIS DEVICE TO MAKE MY SIGNAL STRONGER. and now I have talk to another rep and figure out if it will still work in my case or I have to send it back and get my deposit. I hope there are more intelligent representatives that are on the other side of the phone call when we contact T-mobile service department.
