sync up kids watch getting stuck on start/boot up screen

My child's sync up watch is about 1.5 years old now, and had been working fine until the last week. It turned itself off, and now when I try to turn back on (I have to hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds to turn on, otherwise it does nothing) I get this screen 75% of the time (see attached pic). If it does get to the loading screen, it gets stuck there and I end up just having to reboot it again. Any tips/tricks or is this watch done for?
