Can't get gigabit switch to work
I am switching from spectrum where I had a cable modem that fed their wifi router and access point. I ran an ethernet cable from the spectrum router to my gigabit switch to have wired internet in multiple places throughout the house.
However when I do the same thing with my t-mobile router the devices connected through the gigabit switch do not see an internet connection.
Any help?

I got it working. Resetting everything after changing configuration worked. Thank you..

Have you tried just connecting one device directly to the gateway to confirm that the ethernet port is working?
And, if the devices you are connecting have static IP addresses they might not be recognized because they need to be 192.168.12.xxx addresses. It would however seem unlikely that all of your devices would have static addresses. Devices with addresses assigned by the gateway would likely need to be refreshed or power cycled as copz1988 mentions.
I agree with Darko66. First, can you connect anything wirelessly to the the T-Mobile gateway? Assuming you can, plug in your switch into the back of the T-Mobile gateway and make sure the indicator lights are showing activity. If that's true, then Darko66 is right that the IP schema on your hard-wired network is a different than the one on the gateway. T-Mobile uses 192.168.12.x.
If you need a static IP, try the following. Reset the connection on any of your hard-wired devices to DHCP if it's not already set that way. Once you get an IP address, write it down, then once again reconfigure the device to a static IP using the address you wrote down. I've done that with a couple devices and it works just fine. Your router will be 192.168.12.1, your subnet mask will be 255.255.255.0, and set DNS to the same IP as the gateway, e.g., 192.168.12.1.
In the event none of this works, what is the brand and model of the switch you're trying to connect?
Good luck, my friend!

If the switch has a web browser log in, try that to connect to the new gateway. And always restart your network when you make such changes. Also check the cable to ensure it's good.
¡Buena suerte!
