Does T Life Require an Internet Connection?
My Nokia 5G21 went down around 9:50 am, 6/10. I tried to get to the router via the new T Life app that is replacing the T-Mobile Internet app and it wouldn't connect to the router; it looked like it was trying to sign into the internet over the bad connection.
Does T Life require an internet connection to sign in and then allow you to access your router? If so, that is a fatal design flaw and you need to keep supporting the T Mobile Internet app.

Yes , both the T-Mobile Internet and the T Life apps require you to be connected to the Internet via the router/modem from T-Mobile. it's a hassle but it makes sense , how else can you monitor something you're not connected to ?

Early in the T-Mobile Home Internet deployment different bands of the cell tower closest to my house would go down and the only way to get the router to connect to a different band was to reboot the router. That was easy to do thru the T-Mobile Internet app because you could sign into the no-internet-connection router directly. So the problem you seem to be confirming that T-Mobile has created is a router that you can only sign into if you have a good internet connection. First router I've ever used to have this self-inflicted design flaw.

You can always just reboot by disconnecting the power supply for a few seconds . Some of T-Mobile gateways have a on off switch located on the back. I don't know what else you could do.
