I have been using Samsung phone & T-Mobile for years. I recently got an S22 Ultra. I was surprised not to find the Visual Voice mail app anywhere in the application list (slide screen up from the bottom). Yet, doing a search for "visual" at the top finds a Visual Voice mail app with a green icon. However, the only two things that can be done with the search result is to open the app, or get the "app info" (long press). I would like to add the Visual Voice Mail app to my phone's home screen, as I have been doing for years. If I purchase an unlocked phone, for example an S22 Ultra unlocked version, will I be able to make Wifi calls on T-Mobile ? This is assuming I use a T-Mobile SIM with it, or eSIM, of course. The reason I ask is that I have no reliable cell coverage at home. Neither 3G/4G/5G offer reliable signals in all places in my home from any operator. A T-mobile cellspot in-home LTE tower also does not cover my entire home. The only thing that works reliably is Wifi calls, using a combination of 5 wireless access points. My current phone is a T-mobile version (Note 20 Ultra) and works with Wifi calls. I need my next phone to continue to work with Wifi calls. Some unlocked phones are available for significantly less than the T-mobile versions, for example the S22 Ultra version sold by Google on Fi is $700 vs $1200 on t-mobile.com . Does anyone have an issue with their phones after the October update? Mine will not connect to then network, drops service, does not have service for hours at a time, won't switch from cellular to Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi to cellular without me having to turn, myphone off multiple times. It was working fine until the update. All of my apps are updated and the software is the latest one. T-Mobile has recently spoken about the newer n25 SA band being used lately, and it was even tested with my model, the S22 Ultra. Lots of people are already picking up this band (with other model phones, or are having to hack their S22 to even enable the n25 SA band) in carrier aggregation with n41 for improving 5G UC speeds. I have a TMob carrier firmware S22U deviceand in the most 2 recent software updates, Nov, and now just got Dec ver.S908USQU2BVL1. It's unbelievable that TMob has still not enabled n25 SA. Only n25 NSA is enabled (since Nov update) which is useless. Only the new n25 band can CA (carrier aggregate) with n41 on SA, not NSA. This is very disingenuous for T-Mobile to be out touting this update while not offering it on a phone that has all these bands by default but is not being enabled by T-Mobile, especially on such a flagship phone like the S22 Ultra. Since the October update , areas that Im in all day that that typically had great UC5G, now drop to 0 bars, cant take or make calls, text, or use data. ive worked with tech support both in person and here by chat. Ive changed to a ESIM, reset my network connections numerous times,wiped cache partitions, Ive been starting to see more and more people using the S22 and possibly other galaxy phones posting that since late October their mobile connections have degraded tremendously.I'll start briefly with some some 5g as i get handed off to a tower then within a minute it will drop to LTE, then a few bars of possibly 2g with no connection, to 0 bars. Ill post some screen shots of my phones rf levels. So ihave been having some sever connectoion issues with the s 22 ultra. I can not make calles ( even to911) I can not receive calls, and maybe 1 in 15 messages end up sending. I have reset the network, hard reset, soft reset, connection manually, factory reset, and have traded in one s 22 ultra for a new one and I am having the SAME issue. Hey ya'll I'm in south austin, texas and have noticed, in the last several days, that my service has been sh!t when on 5G. I cannot load anything, pull up anything, etc while on 5G or LTE. I have to be on wifi which is F'ing me up. I cant go out and check work stuff. It also will not let me download images. Soooo annoying. Already talked to Support too many times and no dice. Im about to go to the store and see what they can do becuse this is really messing me up, work wise that is. I have a brand new S22 Ultra, 2 months old. I was with sprint since 1996, the change over actually did not change our quality of service and it's been FINE, until this week. My phone has stopped working at my house and I get the "not registered" yada yada. Less than a mile it way it works without a reboot (although dropped calls and connection is more frequent but I still have service) I have a samsung s22 and my husband has a Samsung A32 (cheaper, almost free) phone and his is 100% normal (we are on the same account). Many calls, chats, promises and dropped calls later, I am no better off. I have tried EVERYTHING there is from simply resetting network to factoy reset. Even cleared a partition and messed around in safe mode, you name it andI've likely tried it. Elevated support even changed an address that was in my account from 2007 and said that would fix it... So frustrating! If it'smy phone, t-mobile didn't even suggest that. I have 5 lines, and switching carriers this weekend because my my horrible experience and now no data service at home.
