delayed text
4 TopicsNo notifications when I text myself
I use an app that sends out sms messages to myself as reminders throughout the day (name of the app is textra). Lately, i am not getting notificatied for messages (sms) I send to myself. I can see the sms content when I open up my messages thread, however, they show up without triggering a notification. Tried calling tech support to no avail and it took 30 mins for the tech to understand the problem statement. Is there anyone who can address this? Additionally, here is the email thread from the devs at textra confirming it's a TMobile issue: Hi, It's a T-Mobile related issue as T-mobile now do not support or allow users to send messages to themselves (their mobile number), this is the same on all messaging applications. You may also test with your Android Stock / System messaging app which is the same as well. Please contact your carrier for immediate assistance on this. Should you need any assistance, please feel free to email us. Mandy - Textra SMS Team Follow us on Twitter and Facebook Helpful? Click to give Mandy thanks! I have all notifications turned on through textra app and system. This used to work. One additional detail, I used to see my texts I'd send to myself (manually or through auto text) as 2 lines...one as sent and one as received. I am no longer seeing this and only see a one received sms, but again, do no lt get notified for it. Hi all, trying to find a resoultion to this issue that's been happening for the past 5 months. My phone is an unlocked HTC u11. Randomly I will not receive calls when I have full bars. It doesn't show up as a missed call or anything. The person will message me on another messenger and when I call them back I usually get a bunch of text messages time-stamped from the past hour that I have also missed. I will also randomly receive voicemails with no missed calls indicating that again, I've missed a call but it does not show up in my notifications . I've tried all the resetting everything on my phone, I've disabled wifi calling and volte but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced this and had it fixed?Solved24KViews2likes80ComentariosTexts/calls delayed on wi-fi
I have a Pixel 6a (maybe 6-9 months old?) and I've noticed in the last month or two that when I'm on my home wi-fi, texts and calls are delayed. I will get a batch of texts and missed call notifications all at once. I haven't noticed the problem outside of my home but honestly I don't usually connect to wi-fi elsewhere. If I turn off wi-fi on my phone, my messages all come through right away. If it matters, I have fiber connection at home, can't remember the name of the company, but the wi-fi in the rest of the house (and with the rest of my family members on android and iphones) seems to have no problems. Is there a solution to this?673Visto0likes3ComentariosWhy am I randomly not receiving texts?
A few months ago it came to my attention that I was not receiving certain messages from what seemed like a single person (they showed me their phone proving they in fact had sent me these messages). Then it happened with another friend. Both these individuals have iPhones and are on T-Mobile. I'm an Android user. It is seemingly completely random, sometimes even in the middle of a conversation, selective texts sent seconds or minutes apart will not come through. So far I have tried: Changing to the stock texting app (I normally use Mood) Clearing the text app cache uninstalling and reinstalling Mood changing the SIM T-Mobile advised me to do some kind of reset (which all it did was make me have to put in all my WiFi passwords again) full factory reset Confirmed APN settings Bought another damn phone. Annoying that I could never figure out wth was happening, but no matter, it seemed like things were working. Well, the problem has returned, and it's very difficult to troubleshoot or know when it's happening because it's not like there's an error message. I don't find out until days or weeks later, and I imagine sometimes never at all. People think I'm just ignoring them. I have also had issues where texts come in very delayed, I'm talking anywhere from like a half hour to 24 hours later. These are just regular old sms texts, usually brief ones too, not group chats media etc., if that matters. Is it possible that that I am momentarily losing service when these messages are being sent and they just kind of disappear into the void? lol Solutions?Solved111KViews4likes61Comentarios
