4 TopicsProblems Texting on In-Flight WiFi
I flew a domestic round trip on American Airlines recently, and for the first time on both flights I was able to get free WiFi with AA with my Go5G plus plan. However, the texting didn't work on either flight. Upon landing, I received some, but not all of the texts from a group text that I am in after connecting to the mobile network. It is not clear to me why I didn't get all of the texts after landing. I have e-911 set up, and I have made dozens of calls and sent texts over WiFi before. During the flight, wifi calling and airplane mode were both on and I was able to browse the internet. The woman sitting beside me bought internet service, and she couldn't send/receive texts or emails either. She had an iphone. My phone is a Samsung S23. I have a flight coming up next week. If this happens again, how can I troubleshoot the problem? ¡Gracias por tu ayuda!Solved2.1KViews0likes9ComentariosIssues with In-flight Free WiFi
Recently I found out that to use the free Gogo Inflight I have verify with a text message. However, for the last 4/5 times I was unable to get a text message. My phone was in Airplane Mode and WiFi calling is enabled (and yes Wifi calling works with my device). When I get on the ground I find all those verification text messages coming in, but now it's too late. The only recourse is to chat with Gogo Inflight CS, and if you're lucky get a promo code from them. Anyone else having this issue?5.7KViews2likes23Comentariosinflight wifi login problem
On a recent American Airlines flight, I was able to get to the T-Mobile page for the free session. I entered my phone and then the Captcha code, and the next screen asked if I wanted the 1-hour free or the full session. I made my choice, but when it wanted me to confirm, I couldn't scroll the screen up to be able to click the "confirm" button. Whenever I could get it to scroll up, when I lifted my finger to tapthe button, the info snapped back down, so that the button was just below the screen view on my phone. I've never had this problem before. I don't know if this is a T-Mobile, an internet provider, or Apple iPhone issue.74Visto0likes0ComentariosT-Mobile & Viasat WiFi Partnership Soon?
Does anyone know if T-Mobile and Viasat inflight Wi-fi are coming up with a partnership anytime soon? A lot of airlines, particularly the world's largest airline...American has been moving away from Gogo and switching to Viasat. The T-Mobile free wifi deal is pretty much worthless now since you can't use it on any Viasat equipped aircraft.Solved2.8KViews1like12Comentarios
