3 TopicsFrequent internet connection drops or interruptions due to low-flying aircraft
When aircraft fly low over residential areas, their presence interferes with wireless signals, including those used for internet connections. This interference disrupts the stability of Wi-Fi connections, leading to dropped connections or slow speeds. I have an excellent connection and have re positioned my Wi-Fi router to a higher location in my home, away from windows or exterior walls facing the direction of the aircraft. However, relying solely on Wi-Fi router signal strength as a guide to a solid connection can be misleading. Despite showing excellent strength, my router often crashes the browser in the middle of inputting important data, resulting in data loss-a real issue. I have experimented with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies to see if one experiences less interference from aircraft than the other, but I have encountered issues with both. Question: I'm curious if anyone has had success by adding shielding materials around their Wi-Fi router to minimize interference? If so what worked for you?1.4KViews0likes3ComentariosS22 Ultra Network Issues Since October Update
Since the October update , areas that Im in all day that that typically had great UC5G, now drop to 0 bars, cant take or make calls, text, or use data. ive worked with tech support both in person and here by chat. Ive changed to a ESIM, reset my network connections numerous times, wiped cache partitions, Ive been starting to see more and more people using the S22 and possibly other galaxy phones posting that since late October their mobile connections have degraded tremendously.I'll start briefly with some some 5g as i get handed off to a tower then within a minute it will drop to LTE, then a few bars of possibly 2g with no connection, to 0 bars. Ill post some screen shots of my phones rf levels. Tmobile even sent people out to these areas I had in question and said the signals fine, again leading me to conclude its in the software of the last update in October831Visto4likes8ComentariosIntermittent disconnecting devices - DHCP issue or something else?
I have the Nokia gateway. For two years running, my mixed wired/wireless network has worked just as expected. My network of about 50 devices is split about equally between Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Just this week, about 20 devices, mostly Ethernet, have dropped off, but return intermittently. A few Wi-Fi devices also have lost connectivity. The Wi-Fi devices remain associated to the gateway SSID, but do not have automatic IP addresses assigned. For these devices where I can access the user interface, I can successfully assign a fixed IP address and that solves the problem. But the ethernet side does not seem to work the same way. I have several Ethernet switches to distribute the network around the property and have replaced all of them and cables, yet the intermittent connectivity persists. I am running out of options and hope somebody here has some ideas what to try next. Thx!Solved245Visto0likes2Comentarios
