6 TopicsOverseas Work: How to avoid T-Mobile cancelling data roaming?
I am a merchant seaman (Civilian Mariner) currently working overseas on a naval ship. I left in January of 2022 and I am currently still overseas. On April 24th i recieved a messsage to my phone stating that the majority of the last two months of T-Mobile usage has been roaming internationally. Should it continue, my roaming usage will be blocked on May 27. My phone is how i contact home, check emails, etc while overseas. I called customer support and was told to change the SIM card. However, I am frequently in different countries or regions, and that also depends on whether I even have liberty to leave the ship/base. I was then told the only other way to be exempt from blocking was if i was active duty military. I am employed by Military Sealift Command. Which means I work for the navy/department of defense but i am still a civilian and therefore not considered active duty military. I do have orders, however I am not sure they would accept them without me being a part of the "uniformed forces". Im at a dead end and need a solution.1.7KViews0likes5ComentariosInternational roaming while on military orders
Good afternoon. I'm deploying soon and I recall T-mobile adjusting my account to add international talk/data roaming while deployed (3 years ago). Is this still possible? I'll be mostly in the Middle East/Africa/Europe. Gracias.98Visto0likes1ComentarioWhat is the difference between the Global plus 15GB and International Data Pass 15GB
What is the difference between the Global plus 15GB and International Data Pass 15GB Does switching to Global Plus 15GB make going back to the original plan not possible? I'm currently on the One Plan with all the original discounts for 4 lines. I'll be switching to the GLobal Plus plan if I select this temporarily The international data pass is a non-reversible(irreversible) change and charge and can be done while keeping the original plan The descriptions are not clear about charges for receiving calls while traveling. Thanks in advance to anyone who has made the switch while travelling abroad.2.9KViews0likes1ComentarioTmobile europe data and texting useless!
Only reason I have tmobile is so that I can still use my phone when I'm in Europe. I've been dealing with their terrible rural service just for this reason. When I arrived in France, I received a text from tmobile saying I have 2g internet and texting free. It worked for the first 2 days then stopped. I finally called tmobile and they tell me my service is through other network operators and they have basically blacklisted me. I've tried every operator possible and no internet. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't advertise you have international data and texting when you don't! I will be changing providers when the next phone deals hit.475Visto0likes2Comentarios
