I have a 5G Inseego M2000 Mifi device. I've had this device for over a year, and it has worked very well. I use it for Internet access for all my devices as I travel from place to place. I'm now in Mesa, AZ where I'll be for a while. And the park that I'm at has free cable access for Internet. So, I discontinued T-Mobilefor while I'm here. Unfortunately, the cable Internet had some issues, so I needed a backup and had T-Mobile reinstated. However, I have been unable to access the Internet from the MiFi device. I can connect to the device but have no Internet. If I do get Internet, it lasts for maybe 1 min, then disconnects from the Internet. I have worked with T-Mobile's helpdesk, but I still don't have access. Is there an issue with my MiFi, or is there an issue with T-Mobile. BTW: my neighbor appears to have great T-Mobile access.1.1KViews0likes3ComentariosIdentifying network and band in use on Inseego MIFI m2000
On the Inseego M2000 MIFI device administration web page, on the About tab it says it is using "Technology: 5G", but on the DIagnostics tab of that "About" panel it says "Band: N0": there is no such band supported by T-Mobile (N71 is the only other band I've seen, other than "N0"). What does "Band: N0" mean? Is this really suggesting it is using 4G bands? If so where can I see which 4g band is being used? I currently have software version1ZL2.238.1.3 MSDX55MOR-2.11.0.1 1 [2020-11-07 15:36:46] installed.Solved2.9KViews2likes9ComentariosInseego MiFi m2000 not working with 8x8 Work - No Sound
I'm on the road a lot, and as a T-Mobile customer I naturally looked to T-Mobile for a wireless solution when I needed a hotspot. I was sold on the Inseego Mifi M2000 because of its 5G connectivity. The problem is, one of the apps I regularly use is 8x8 Work, which is the app that enables me to use my phone, tablet and laptop as a virtual extension of my office phone to send and receive calls, and it doesn't work when I'm connected to the 8x8 network via the M2000. While I can dial and recieve calls, there seems to be some port blocking going on by T-Mobile that prevents any sound from being received or heard when using the 8x8 app. I first reached out to 8x8 to see if they had any work around, but unfortunately the issue seems to be something on T-Mobile/Inseego's end, and they have offered no solution. There are no obivous settings that I can change on the hotspot to fix the issue either. It's such a big problem that I'm thinking of leaving T-Mobile after being a customer for many years as I need this app to work and T-mobile has no resolution. I'm hoping someone else has come across this, or a similar, issue, and can give me some guidance. Thanks to anyone who can help.127Visto0likes1ComentarioInseego M2000 Doesnt Work For Gaming on 5G
I was told the 5G inseego MiFi 2000 would work with anything and would allow me to play Xbox One on it. I ended up connecting with my phone and laptop but unable to do so with my Xbox. I ended up messaging inseego because I thought it was an inseego issue. They replied to me saying this: "Hello, The issue you are seeing is a result of some backend network handling changes made on the T-Mobiles side for their 5G network. Forcing the M2000 to 4G only is a possible fix for the issue while it is being worked out. This can be done with the following steps. First, on a device connected to the M2000 open a browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 Once you land on this page sign-in in the top right corner. (By default the admin password will be the same as the default WiFi password if it has not been updated) Go to Settings > Advanced, the page you land on after clicking Advanced should be the Network tab, locateNetwork Mode Selection, change this from Auto toLTE/UMTS, save the changes at the bottom of the page. Reboot the M2000, this change may take a few minutes to take effect, retry the connection from your console. Here is how to get a hold of us if needed. Inseego Support Phone: 877-698-6481 Email:technicalsupportus@inseego.com" I switched to 4G LTE and was able to finally get online for the Xbox Multiplayer. I wouldn't of bought a 5G hotspot if I was going to have to only use 4G LTE. I got this because I'm away half the year due to work. Is T-Mobile going to have this issue fixed or will this be a continuous problem? If it won't be fixed, I'd probably go in a different direction regarding providers13KViews1like32ComentariosIs there a way to force 4G network Inseego M2000
Is there a way to select or force only the 4g network on the Inseego M2000? I'd like to test the speed and signal strength difference betweenthe currently available 5g and 4g bands that are available inside and outside of my home. I could really use this capability/setting. I am rural and have a signal booster to help the 4g, but that does not boost the T-Mobile5g bands inside of my house.Solved2.8KViews2likes4Comentarios
