Hi - we live on the 40th-ish floor of an apartmentnear NYC (tallest building in the area). We just noticed a couple of weeks ago that we regularly have zero reception bars in our apartment. We've lived in our apartment for 3 years and this is a recent issue. We utilize wifi calling so it hasn't caused any problems yet but worried what would happen if the wifi were down. We've called support and tried restarting our phone. The phone works fine in the lobby. Switching 5G off doesn't appear to help either. Any thoughts or recourse? Thanks all for your help.Solved257Visto1like6ComentariosConsidering upgrade to S22+ -- reception better than S20 FE 5G?
I haven't been particularly happy with my S20 FE 5G (TMO), and I'm considering upgrading to the S22+ I've had lots of reception problems with the S20 FE 5G. SMS messages have not gone through, or show up in duplicate or triplicate sometimes, or sometimes images don't get sent.I've read that the S22+ has much better signal reception/radios? Curious to hear from those who have upgraded, or who live in areas with marginal reception and have the S22 Since I never have these problems with WhatsApp, I'm assuming that this is a carrier network problem. I'm just outside Chicago city limits, at home I have to use 4G since 5G doesn't work very well, a few blocks from here I get no cellular signal at all, and a few block further up it's 5G all the way. I'm hoping the S22+ will be able to get me 5G everywhere, or at least eliminate the dead-zone. I'd also be interested in general comparisons, speed, features, between the S22+ and the S20 FE 5G. I'm primarily concerned about signal reception however. Otherwise, I'm not sure it's worth upgrading. Comments? Am I overlooking something? Thanks! FWIW: I've had the S3, S6 and S9 with TMO and none of them had problems with connectivity - yes, I know, all pre-5G too.345Visto0likes4ComentariosNo Signal Prepaid International
I have a prepaid sim card that Im currently not using anymore (= no active plan). I am abroad (Germany) and still have that phone number connected to 2-factor-authentication system. However when trying to use the sim card I have no reception here. Is it because I have no active plan? If thats so what would be my cheapest option just to recieve 1 message? For the past 2 months, my iphone 12 and my wife's 12 pro max are having cellular reception issue. When not in use, I would have no bars and will regularly miss calls and text. When open my phone dial any number like 611….the bars sometimes magically appears. This seems to happen everywhere I go, so it's not limited to any specific location in the city. This would suggest it's an issue with my phone….specifcally, with the iphone 12, since my others phones (iphone 6 and 7) appears toworks fine. Reading online….I discovered that many iphone 12 users are having similar issues. Just wondering if anyone else in the tmobile community is experience this issue as well. I also called Tmobile for help...but they were not able to resolve my issue. They said they would call me back in a week….but it either did not happen or I missed their call because of this mysterious cell reception issue.1.1KViews1like2Comentarios
