sync up drive
6 TopicsSync up drive not reporting trips
I recently installed a sync up drive in my car, and am having the following issues: 1. It stopped reporting trip data shortly after the first couple days. 2. I get frequent disturbance notifications especially when I'm driving the car. 3. The GPS location for where the car is parked is frequently off by several blocks. It seems to report a traffic light, or intersection stop some distance away from where the car is actually parked. 4. Hotspot seems to be working ok. Contacted tech support which reset the device remotely. Worked for a day or so, and then the above issues reappeared. The only way I can get it to work properly is to unplug, and replug the device after several minutes before I start the car. It then works for a few hours, and then the issues reappear. Is this a buggy device? What's the fix? Thank you!Solved1.8KViews0likes3ComentariosSyncup Drive on Desktop
Hi, I have a business with a couple trucks. I installed the drives in the vehicles and it works great with the phone app. I would like to view dashboard, map etc…on my desktop (Mac) and also my front office desktop (PC). Is there a website that log in and dashboard is available?1.8KViews1like10ComentariosSetting up multiple Sync Up Drive Wi-Fi's for a business?
Hello, I know someone who is trying to setup multiple SyncUp Drive's (8 of them) for the hotspot, but only want to use their 1 cell phone to set them all up. When they setup the 1st sync up drive from their phone and work on the 2nd one, it says this number has already been registered. How can they setup all 8 device hotspots on sync up drive from her 1 phone?Solved1KViews0likes3ComentariosSyncUp Drive
My 2014 Kia Sorento has been fine since I purchased almost 2 years ago. I got the SyncUP Drive maybe a few months ago, has been fine until this month. First: car did not want to accelerate but it did slowly and eventually got to the speed I needed to be BUT rpm was not moving at all. I left the car for 5-6 hours then started it and drive it just fine. 20 mins from home…I was a nervous wreck! Second: I drove less than a mile and noticed the 4WD Warning System Light on. I got home, turned the car off and tried to restart but it wouldn't. Just kept making a clicking noise then the dash lights spazzed & started buzzing. I was able to shut my windows but very slowly so I left the car alone for 5-10mins then tried to start the car again and it started. Now today 4/14/23, the car turned off WHILE driving!! Will not start and it has been an hour. I've googled about this and found very many ppl having problems sort of related to this so I immediately unplugged the device and I hope I can start my car without getting it fixed if I do need to get anything fixed. WILL NOT USE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I have never left a bad review but this is crazy!120Visto0likes1ComentarioNew SyncUP Drive Needs TLC
Overview-Except in cases where it fixes a very annoying bug, the legacy product is clearly superior to the new version. Were it not for that bug, we would go back to the legacy version in a heartbeat. False Low Oil Pressure Alerts Seem Fixed- Really happy about this. Our opinion is that this is really the only reason to upgrade from the SD-7000T to the SD-7000T1. Dealer mechanics said nothing was wrong with the cars. We believe the mechanics, besides, if there really had been a problem, after a year of driving, at least one of these vehicles would have had an engine failure. Suspect that the problem is that hybrids often shut off the engine and run on the battery. If you check the engine while it is off, the oil pressure could easily be low. Things were fine, then suddenly our hybrids were constantly generating these. So we suspect a firmware update. Exporting of Trip Reports Needs A Lot of Attention- The legacy version would include a csv file for each vehicle in a single export. For the new version, it seems that you have to select each vehicle separately and send a report for that vehicle. The legacy version had the files named corresponding to the vehicle. For the new version, the files are named the same, no matter which vehicle they are for. So you get to guess. Clearly, not friendly for anyone wanting to use this product for business purposes. Hybrid Battery Level is MIA-Does not show hybrid battery level. Previous versions did. Voltage Trends are MIA-The legacy version also showed a chart of battery voltage trends. This version lacks that feature. Entry Problem-Won't take space in auto license tag#. Our tag does have a space, and the old version correctly accepted it. Slow Onboarding-Adding a new vehicle/device takes too long. App says 15 minutes. Support says may take 1/2 hour. After driving around for 45 minutes to an hour, gave up and went home and shut off the car. A couple of hours later, I looked and that step had completed. Since it completed well after the vehicle was off, it would seem that the delay is something outside of the device in the vehicle. Given the 4G connection speed, one would expect this to take seconds, not fractions of an hour. Maybe some back end system needs to be upgraded from a PC/XT to a Pentium? Harder To Plug In-This is minor. But SD-7000T1 seemed to be a bit more difficult to plug into the OBD2 connector than prior devices. Perhaps a slight difference in the connector lead-in taper, etc. Not sure why. Odometer Value is MIA-The SD7000T1 can not read the odometer on one of our vehicles, so the reports have all zeros for this value. Ability To Use Any Device With Either App-Since some devices work best with some vehicles, while other devices work better with other vehicles, It would be nice if all SyncUP Drive devices (6200, 6500, 7000T, 7000T1) would work with both the new App and the legacy app. Or have the new App support all the devices and all the functionality of the legacy app. Ability To Create Additional Trip Categories-Both versions only have a couple of trip categories. There are categories worth tracking besides just Business and non-business. Indeed, there are other tax-deductible vehicle uses. It would be nice if we could create additional trip categories corresponding to our needs. Display of Multiple Vehicles-If you have more than two SyncUP Drive equipped vehicles parked near each other, the Legacy App better shows them, while the new app seems to only show two. 5G-Given all the hoopla about 5G (wasn't 5G even one of the justifications for acquiring Sprint?) it is sort of surprising that a 5G upgrade still hasn't come out. Limited Admin Access-It would be really nice if one had a bit more control. The first version did actually have a administrative web interface. Would be nice to be able to turn bluetooth and WiFi off and on. To be able to pair bluetooth with other devices. Website Data Not Reliable-T-Mobile has a website which claims to report what features work with which vehicles and which SyncUP Drive models. Unfortunately, the data on that website is not all that reliable. So I purchased the Syncup Drive a few days ago and I live near the border and I was told the device would work even if I went to Mexico. I didn't tested it up until now my car doesn't show up where I'm actually at, it got literally stuck on the U.S side. I'm honestly not satisfied about this because I regularly go to Mexico in my car. Is there anything I have to do on the settings or this thing doesn't work at all outside of the U.S?25Visto0likes0Comentarios
