Re: 5G Internet Showing Incorrect Location
I just signed up for the newly launched Amazon AD FREE PRIME VIDEO on 1/30/2024. The fee is $2.99 a month plus tax. Lee County Florida sales tax is 6.5%. I was charged $3.33. $2.99 x 6.5% is 19 cents not 34 so may total should have been $3.18. So I am thinking that this whole T-Mobile Dynamic IP address mayhem is the cause since my IP address is in Miami on Ookla as I write this and was in Boca Raton a half hour before that, both are over 100 miles away from my home address. I contacted T-Mobile home internet to see if anyone knows anything about the issue and they don't and said it is an Amazon problem. I had called Amazon first and did not have any luck with Amazon customer service. It is really hard for any call center staff to comprehend that T-Mobile has assigned my internet service an IP address located over 100 miles away and it changes randomly from town to town throughout the day. So my question is, and one that I will be asking the Lee County Commissioners, if I am paying 7.44% tax, when Lee County's tax is 6.5, is the tax going to Miami Dade or Orange county when my IP address says I am in these counties and how much are the local governments loosing or gaining? I will bet that if this ends up being a significant amount of loss for counties with smaller revenue that the government will make someone fix this mess. In reference to "Papigoes" demeaning post in this thread, the reason I now use T-Mobile internet is because I WAS FORCED TO. I had a Centurylink Landline with DSL internet for 38 years in my rural area as there are no cable service providers, and satellite service blacks out too much with all the thunderstorms. Hurricane Ian decided, on September 28th 2022, to destroy Centurylink infrastructure in Lee County Florida and many other areas. It took Centurylink a month to fix the severed cable a ½ mile down the road and when rain, fog and gusting winds continued to make the internet and phone go out they sent 3 different Century link techs out over 6 weeks to fix the problem and the first 2 said someone needed to come out when the lines were wet, and the 3rd came out once again when the lines were dry and wanted to blame it on my electric fence that was not even working at the time because of Ian and the 30 plus trees that came down and smashed a lot of the fence, even though I had the same phone service that worked just fine for 38 years with the electric fence on the whole time. So I got enraged and cancelled Centurylink and 6 months later around June of 2023 when I called the local Centurylink supervisor{a tech had given me her number} to have someone come raise their cable up, because a Lowes delivery flatbed semi truck could not get on my property because the phone cable was still hanging 10 feet off the ground from Ian {and a call to the Fire Department said they need 12 ½ feet of clearance}, the supervisor told me they don't like to fix the old copper cables. Supposedly they are running fiber-optic out here in the Floriduh swamp but no one knows which century we will have service. I found out through lots of research in the weeks after Ian that a $1300 purchase for a Long Ranger cell antenna with a 20 mile range, and a Cel Fi GO X 32 signal booster would give me 5 bars of 5G in my metal mobile home, instead of the 1 bar of dropping service I got outside and none in the home, and I could do the troubleshooting and fix things myself rather than always have to wait hours, or days, or weeks, or months for the idiots form Centurylink to fix things. One time it took 6 months for them to figure out they needed to replace the buried cable from the road to the home which was over 300 feet long. Dealing with this ongoing B.S. is a royal pain in the arse.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Request Timeout on T-Mobile Website

I am having the same problem again today in both an updated Firefox and Google Chrome on my Omen 15 Laptop, you know where I can type with 10 fingers instead of a stylus one letter at time on a $1000 non-responsive Samsung Galaxy S22+ cell screen, have 2 hard drives for storing endless files/information where there is no fee for using the Omen like there is for the cloud. And guess what, the battery in the Omen and all my other computers over the past 2 decades have never swollen and threatened to explode or pushed the screen out excessively from the rest of the device requiring immediate removal of files and photos which basically can't be done unless you use the proprietary cloud option that comes with the phone instead of acable from phone to laptop like I could do with older phones and all my cameras. And new studies show there is less cognitive function and reading comprehension on small cell phone screens compared to larger laptop and computer screens, so why in the universe's name does the Global Corporate Community keep pushing their creepy apps on nasty little phones. Why doesn't T-Mobile in all their, 8 times hacked website wisdom, just fix thewebsite and keep it fixed?14Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 403 error
If the this error is caused by the over crowding of the website or server I have to wonder why T-Mobile decision makers are such tight wads and won't make it so the errors are not rampant. According to an article about the 8th and latest T-Mobile breach of which customers were notified last month, Jan 2023, on- Krebs on security dot com -, T-Mobile reported revenues of nearly $20 billion in the third quarter of 2022 alone. So why can't they beef up their security and make it so the server for this community website can handle the traffic, my assumed answer is they have more fun psychologicaly and financially raping the customer. Thanks so much. My social and drivers license were put on the dark web from the August 2021 breach. T-Mobile's security rots just like the rampant incompetence of their so called EXPERT/PRO customer service staff. Shi$ show from Hades it is.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: The Signal Booster DUO (Band 12) is made of UNOBTANIUM
duhmel wrote: " Tech doesn't have the option of which option of booster to send. It automatically defaults to whichever is in stock when your order is placed" THIS IS THE STUPIDEST EXCUSE I HAVE HEARD IN THE TWO MONTHS THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING. FANFARE LAST NOVEMBER - WE HAVE A NEW UNIT THAT COVERS BAND 12. NOW I AM EXPECTED TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO SPECIFICALLY ORDER SUCH A UNIT. NO COMPANY CAN BE THAT STUPID, ONLY PEOPLE WORKING AT SUCH A COMPANY WOULD BE THAT STUPID, I HAVE EMAIL YOUR CEO LETTING HIM KNOW ABOUT THE RUNAROUND I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH AND HAVE LET HIM KNOW THAT YOU AND NIC HAVE GIVEN ME THIS ABSURD REASON. Today is 10/22/2022 and the extreme incompetence and ignorance displayed by the corporate decision makers with their policies and dysfunctional methods of training and supplying information to the call center staff and customers, is still alive and well unfortunately. Various reps I have spoken with over the past week have no clue there are 2 Cell Spots, one that is 1 unit and works off Wifi, and another that is 2 units, called the Personal CellSpot 4G LTE Signal Booster, and works off the tower signal by placing the antenna unit in the window and the receiving unit at the other end of the home. The model # for the 2 unit device from the side of the box is NXT CELFI-D32-21266 with a date of 01/07/19. I had to dig the box out of a plastic container in the shed so I could research what bands it uses. I had to beg repeatedly for this second unit to use after hurricanes. I also have the other unit that works off Wifi which I normally use since we are in a rural area. But Hurricane Ian just went through here on 9/28/22 and the cable/landline phone and internet infrastructure was decimated. Centurylink told NBC2 here in FT. Myers Fl that the projected date for complete restoral of the internet and landlines could be the end of February, 4 months from now. So I am researching outdoor antennas so I don't have the indoor antenna unit of the Personal CellSpot D32 hanging outside{did this 3 days ago} on a PVC pipe/pole, inside a metal base pole, under an umbrella, on top of my 6 foot above grade septic hill, the only place I can get a signal on my 5 acres on a regular basis, pre or post hurricane without the Wifi CellSpot. The Personal CellSpot D32 window antenna unit does not work well inside my metal mobile. Hopefully the $1000 plus Cel-Fi GO X 100dB booster with the Long Ranger Antenna will provide some decent service since I am not interested in it taking 8 minutes to log into my bank and then have a bunch of empty rectangles where the accounts are suppose to be, never mind all the can't load the page errors, or having to wait until 1 a.m. through 5 a.m. to be able to have usable internet access with the Personal Cellspot indoor antenna. I have been using the internet through a hot spot in my Samsung S8+ TMobile Tablet that is no longer fully functional, can't make calls and texts with tablet through my S22+ phone, and can't add blue tooth devices because Samsung turned off the features until I signed their new privacy policy they issued the day, 9/2/22, they notified us about their Breach, I finally accepted the policy some days ago after talking to a few lawyers and the features still don't work. Added this info in case others are having the same Privacy Policy blackmail issues with "calls and texts on other devices". The worst part of Hurricane Ian has been dealing with humans.3Visto0likes0Comentarios
