Re: How can I tell if a cell tower is broadcasting 5G?
Thanks, I think you are right. I am not getting a 5G signal. I am between two towers - right now I am connected to a tower that is about (2) miles east of me and I am connected on band 66 which I believe is 4G LTE. I am assuming that band 41 or 71 is required for 5G and according to cellmapper.net, the tower I'm connected to does not support either of those bands. There is another tower about (4-5) miles west of me that does support band 71 but it's too far away. I guess I'll have to live with the 4G connection I have until T-MOBILE adds a 5G capability to that tower. I'm surprised that the T-MOBILE website told me that I should be able to get a strong enough 5G signal here.22Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How can I tell if a cell tower is broadcasting 5G?
When I look at the 5G metrics in the Advanced Cellular Metrics, it does not show any data. Does that mean that the tower is not broadcasting a 5G signal? T-Mobile shows that 5G Home Internet is supported in my location.28Visto0likes0ComentariosHow can I tell if a cell tower is broadcasting 5G?
I recently acquired a T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Modem (Arcaydyan version) and I'm trying to figure out if I'm really getting a 5G signal or not. When I look at the Advanced Cellular Metrics, I can identify the cell tower I am connected to and it says I'm connected on band "b66". Does that indicate 4G or 5G? How do I tell?567Visto0likes6ComentariosRe: Remote Desktop Not Working
I got it to work!! In Logmein Hamachi, I copied the IPV4 address for the remote computer and connected to that instead of connecting to the computer name and that works! I think if you try to use Remote Desktop to connect to a remote computer by name, it might use the IPV6 address.65Visto1like0ComentariosRemote Desktop Not Working
I am evaluating T-Mobile Home Internet to try to replace Comcast and I have a new T-Mobile KVD21 Arcaydyan modem. Everything on my network works fine except for Remote Desktop. I use Remote Desktop quite a bit for both connecting to a desktop computer on the same home network from other areas in my house and connecting to a desktop computer in another location outside of my local home network. I use Logmein Hamachi to create a VPN connection and the standard Windows 10 Remote Desktop application (RDP) to make a connection Logmein Hamachi is able to successfully create a VPN connection to both computers that I am trying to access but I then can't get a Remote Desktop connection I've read all the posts on this forum related to this topic and it seems to be a limitation of the T-Mobile router and there doesn't seem to be a solution. This is an important capability to me and if I can't get it to work, I will have to discontinue my evaluation of T-Mobile Home Internet. I have filed a ticket with T-Mobile support and have not yet gotten a response. Is there any hope of solving this problem in the future? I'm really disappointed that I can't get this to work because I think 5G Home Internet has enormous potential for the future; however, perhaps the technology is immature at this time.2.3KViews0likes8Comentarios
