Re: 5G Gateway SSID Naming
Zodyart -- T-Mobile can't even provide reliable cellular service… I have no idea who in their right minds would rely upon them for inter-networking services! What T-Mobile is exceptionally good at is: bait and switch; glossy, feel-good advertising; and content-free customer support. Everything you want in an inter-networking solution...4Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Time to leave Tmobile.

I hope this is not true; otherwise, sign me up for the class-action lawsuit coming to T-Mobile. There will be no class action. You seem to be under the impression that there is some guarantee of privacy while using PRIVATE infrastructure. There is not. You are granted a right to use the infrastructure by the operator in return for money. That's it. End of discussion. The operator gives you NO RIGHTS and bears NO RESPONSIBILITIES for anything they do. The T-Mobile network is T-Mobile's sandbox. They get to make the rules. There has been some talk of "Patriot Mobile" here… Read their TOS. It will say the same thing…no matter what junior wants you to believe. PS. The First Amendment doesn't apply to contractual relationships between PRIVATE parties. PPS. Read the service agreement that you SIGNED when signing up for T-Mobile services. I can guarantee that you signed away your right to sue T-Mobile for anything in any forum or jurisdiction...agreeting to "arbitration" instead. The arbitration process is completely controlled by T-Mobile so it's pretty much a foregone conclusion who would come out on top.2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Time to leave Tmobile.
If the source of this misinformation is Laura Loomer, you should seriously consider the quality of the information in the first place. Laura Loomer is despicable excuse for a human being who engages in vile hate of people based on their skin color, national origin and faith practices.2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 5G Gateway SSID Naming
SamuelK wrote: Hi, Is it possible to name a network on a 5G Gateway that allows spaces? Example: The Lan Before Time instead of TheLanBeforeTime. The main reason is to keep my network running on the same router name/password so I don't need to do it manually with a new name. I'm using the app and it doesn't permit this. Does anyone know if this can be done? There is no technical restriction against having embedded spaces in SSIDs. The SSID for my home network is so named. However, what T-Mobile's software will allow you to do is a different story… Frankly, I would follow MelTX's suggestion and plug your 5G gateway into your router and use the gateway for the purpose it was intended -- a gateway -- and use a real router to set up your network. Configure your router appropriately and you should have no problems. You can probably dump T-Mobile's app completely after doing this. I've been a professional software developer for a long time… When I see or hear about horseshit like this, it's a sure sign that the exclusion of spaces in SSID names is masking some other (probably more insidious) bug that either T-Mobile or it's cut-rate contract software development company in Bangalore or Hyderabad deemed too costly to fix. Danger Will Robinson!2Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T Mobile bouncing back my emails
Deitra wrote: T mobile randomly changes my IP address and some thing called CloudMark blocks my emails. Been on hold for over an hour. Anyone know what to do? Thanks so much. All ISPs do this… When you try to connect, there is software that implements the DHCP protocol (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) that gets involved. DHCP "leases" you an IP address from a pool of available IP addresses (and sets up your gateway, default router and name resolvers on the ISPs network). When your lease expires, the IP address you've been assigned goes back into the pool to be (possibly) assigned to someone else. The cable/fiber-optic providers that syaoran mentions will all do this as well. Your home router probably does this too. IP addresses are a scarce resource and using these dynamic allocation techniques allow the ISP to conduct it's business cost effectively. There is no escaping it. One solution is to get a static IP address from the ISP. However, you need to be prepared to pay big bux™for that...if the ISP even offers that option. Cloudmark is an internet security company that provides security solutions to businesses. The IP address that T-Mobile has handed you via DHCP was probably involved in some nefarious activity and appears in one or more of CloudMark's blacklists or threat databases. That's why you're getting blocked or whatever. The solution is to report this to T-Mobile. It's in their best interests to keep their IP addresses out of these collections of perceived threats. Given my experiences with T-Mobile support, I can confidently say that none of the front-/second-line support peoplewould have the slightest clue what you're talking about...and I can guarantee that T-Mobile is NOT (repeat, NOT!) going to let you, a mere customer, talk to their network management engineers (they're probably all off-shore contractors anyway). Good luck to you.4Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: i cant find the ssid
SSID stands forServiceSetIDentifier and is your network's name. In short, it's the NAME that you gave your WiFi network. Although it can be a number it need not be. Your PS4 should give you a list of available names to choose from when configuring your device's network. Just pick the right one.7Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile device unlocking SCAM!
The replacement was the result of an insurance claim. T-Mobile confirms the loss report...which is still showing up on the home page on my T-Mobile app. gramps28 wrote: If@HeavenM sees this post, she will have more insight about this. No, s/he won't… All s/he'll be able to do is confirm the party line.11Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile device unlocking SCAM!
It's an iPhone 13 mini. T-Mobileconfirms the device is paid for. They confirm I have no outstanding balance. They confirm the lost/replacement incident and the provisioning of the new phone. I did contact customer support. They said they would contact the "backend team" and TRY to get this situation corrected. To paraphrase Yoda, "TRY is not DO"… So, this will never happen. 32 days from today is 1/27/2024. I had wanted the tumor known as T-Mobile excised from my life and be on my first course of anti-insanity chemo by then. This is just a SCAM to wring another couple of months bill out of me. After two years of this BS, I should have expected something like this…12Visto0likes0Comentarios
