Re: PSA for anyone unable to register T-Mobile ID for home internet: quick fix that support is not aware of
@shuaaalondid you purchase online, in store, over the phone, or via chat? Regardless, call T-Mobile Support, ensure you are speaking with someone who supports Home Internet, and have them update what's known as your "service notification email address". This will lead you to be able to create a T-Mobile ID using that specific email address without having to enter a phone number.61Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: help me please
@Tylerk69The comment from copz1998 earlier above is correct. From the screen you posted, back out one step to the list of wi-fi networks, tap the + button, and add a new wi-fi network which has the frequency band set to 2.4 Ghz. Don't use the same wi-fi network name as your existing network, but you can use the same password if you like.14Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How to disable a device connected to wifi
Hi TamiD, That absolutely should be working as you're expecting it to. This forum is not regularly monitored by T-Mobile Support, but if you can place a call with them (1-844-275-9310) and have them file an escalation ticket, this will be looked into. Please have included in the ticket: What smartphone OS you're using the app on (iOS or Android), and the version Which gateway model you have (the support rep can help you with this if you're unsure) The gateway firmware version (can be found in the 'More' tab of the app, and the support rep can also help you find this) The type of devices you're observing this with (you mentioned a laptop and other devices - specifics will help)134Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Why limited access to new gateway device?
The app includes the ability the add and remove wi-fi networks, and adjust frequency band(s) and encryption settings for each wi-fi network. If you're looking for IPv4 port forwarding, that isn't possible on the T-Mobile network, as 1) the network is IPv6 and 2) the network (not the gateway) prevents unsolicited inbound IP connections.23Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: To Tmobile Home Internet - Please improve Arcadyan (black cube) Web Interface and FW!
Hi @magenta7806740 Other than DHCP settings and disabling wifi, what advanced settings are you looking to configure? T-Mobile Internet is IPv6 and doesn't allow inbound network connections, so port forwarding won't do anything.18Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Advanced Settings Arcadyan KVD21
Hi @DisgruntledArkadyanUser Regarding changing the administrator password, the T-Mobile Internet mobile app allows you to change the password and has had that ability for a long time. I'm sure they will add the ability to turn wi-fi off at some point, although for non-technical folks who don't have their own 3rd party router configured the right way, doing so would prevent the mobile app from communicating with the gateway, so that may be a reason this hasn't been prioritized. My networking friend tells me that an idle wi-fi network does not cause much (if any) interference/congestion, so I wouldn't sweat the T-Mo gateway wi-fi being on so long as you don't have any devices actively connecting to it.38Visto0likes0Comentarios
