Re: Home internet service IPv6 traffic is all filtered even when using a Netgear LTE router. No port forwarding. Plz fix!
Jumping on this bandwagon too. As the OP, I made my living for over 40 years in IT and most lately HFC carrier ISPnetwork monitoring. The Nokia gateway needs to act as an Ethernet bridge (just like cable modems do) so the public IP is handed to my router instead of the gateway and my router can handle VPN, port forwarding and other public facing services. Port forwarding at the Nokia gateway would be nice, but only after it can reliably provide WiFi and NAT services without overheating and thus affecting ability to connect to the 5G network with more than 1Mbps.16Visto3likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet Goes Out Every Couple of Hours
Jumping on this bandwagon. Couple of points: iPhone7 disconnected from WiFi SpeedTest gets 150+Mbps when on gateway only gets <2Mbps. Rebooting 5G gateway restores bandwidth to 200Mbps but only temporarily (2 hours best). Awaiting delivery of my third gateway. Dismal tech support: 611 IVR doesn't grok "Home Internet Support". Must use different phone number for home internet. Clearly offshore staff that is trying to be helpful, but is hobbled by policy and technology. Most tech supportcalls are unintelligible due not to language barrier, butwoefully inadequate technology… sounds like they are using a wired phone plugged intosimilar T-Mobile gateway in need of rebooting ;-)3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 5G home internet keeps dropping
Clearly not a tower issue. After several calls to Asian tech support, using the direct number they gave me because the 611 IVR doesn't understand "home internet support", when the latest agent continued questioning my ability to wire an effective home network, he finally got the picture when I wired my laptop directly to the trash can and received the same dismal Speedtest that the iPad confirmed wirelessly, thendisconnecting iPhone 7 from WiFi and Speedtest next to the trash can yielding >150Mbps down. My wired Bravia with severely pixelated and buffering YouTube TV was clearly not a sufficient indicator.2Visto0likes0Comentarios
