Connect my bank account to a company that hasn't proven they care about security?

I have been a T-Mobile ally for almost a decade now. Loved the international features. I used to tell everyone how much T-Mobile rocked. But linking my bank account to pay a measly cell phone bill? So you want me to expose my entire bank account just so you can save on CC fees? Sounds like you're to miserly to invest in security functions to… No thanks. I'm officially on the market. It won't be tomorrow. But Verizon or AT&T will win me back at some point. Ya'll need to fix this.

  • this is crap and I am leaving T mobile because of this and I suggest you do the same other cell phone companies let you pay by credit card so you can earn miles on your card another benefit t mobile is taking away screw you T mobile after 18 years I am gone

  • After 20 years with T-Mobile, I'm walking away. These clowns were hacked back in 2019 which caused identity theft where someone opened up an account in GA and FL to the tune of $2600 plus. Took me 6 months to fix it. Now they want direct access to bank accounts...smh

The service has been trash for the last couple of months, their updates cause more problems than they fix, and getting someone on the phone to fix issues, who doesn't have a shitty attitude treating customers as if we are bothering them by calling, is a complete joke. Anyone that gives these clowns access to their bank account is asking to be wiped out. With credit card payments, if something goes wrong its one call, they fix it and deal with the company directly. A bank will have your money and account tied up for months and you might not get it back.

You can still pay with a credit card you just don't get the autopay credit.

My credit card covers the phones on my plan for insurance.

They have the worst payment plan system not to mention if your phone gets shut off they charge you $60 per line restoration fee I have 3 lines and my phone was shut off for 5 mins because I used the wrong card for my payment I paid it with in 5 mins and I got charged an extra $180 in restoration fees I couldn't figure out why my bill was so high this is absolutely insane I'm calling them tomorrow if they don't credit me back I'm getting a new provider I can see 20 a line and that's still ridiculous but 60 a line that should be illegal

not to poke holes in things here but if you paid literally 5 minutes before they were turning your phones off wouldnt that be more on you for waiting until the very last minute?

Just, NO! The amount of time y'all take to fix minor billing issues means my account can be severely compromised while you sort out stuff. And you can bet the hackers are already working on how to benefit from this latest move. So hey, I'll pay the $10 more while I search for a better deal. Bye Felicia!
