Ooma
According to the agreement I have with T-Mobile, my internet coverage would be $50 per month and the phone would covered under a plan TM has with Ooma for $9.99 per month additional. On 5/1/22, Ooma billed me $17.68. I ccntacted TM and was credited for the overcharge. My new credit card billing arrived and still indicates a charge from Ooma on 5/31/22 of $17.69. TM needs to be responsible for clarifying its agreement with Ooma concerning monthly charges so that a customer doesn't have to dispute the charge EVERY month. Gracias
Caveat Emptor !! I too signed up for Ooma at $9.99 per month but have been billed $17.61 and $17.66 for the first 2 months. I went on Ooma support chat today to ask why and the difference is a bunch of fees and taxes that you can only see if you go into your account on the MyOoma site, select billing history then click on the billing details icon on one of the billing lines then click Print. This will bring up a PDF with all the extra charges. I imagine this is in the T-Mobile fine print somewhere but not made clear up front. As far as the service and equipment itself, those work fine although we rarely use it since it's just for a backup in case somebody's cell phone is down. Like the response from dpayne, I don't like sneaky surprises so I'm shopping for alternatives.

Total: $17.66My experience with Ooma was short lived, as it took two tries at setting up an account on the glitchy Ooma website, four phone calls and two cancelled accounts to finally be told that it would be 17.68 a month as well. The service and features sounded like it would be great, but I refused to deal with deception and incompetency.
