PROMO VIRTUAL PREPAID CREDIT CARD
I'm a brand new user still evaluating the GATEWAY which has been a bit 'sketchy' in terms of consistency of speed and connectivity. But I still have about 10 days to decide to keep my xfinity cabled service that's about twice as much $ or the Tmobile gateway.
In the interim I feel buried in documents and forms and conditions that I’m going to need to read to see if the things I’ve gotten and signed up for are legit...such as the ASSURANCE/APPLE hybrid that is part APPLE CARE and PART ASSURANCE insurance for things like identity theft and phone theft, etc.
BUT I DGRESS..Today I received a "Congrats! Your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard for the 2021 HINT P17 promo is ready. Redeem here:" message for a $50 prepaid VIRTUAL credit card promo that I was given for trading in my old iphone for a new iphone 13PRO and switching from ATT to TMOBILE.
MY QUESTION: Have any of you gotten this promo and is the card legit, easy to use, and not a nightmare to cancel when it’s depleted OR has a very small balance due to not finding something to buy for EXACTLY $50?
The amount of legal speak that I was asked to read and accept has made my head spin like LINDA BLAIR’s head in the exorcist!
Does accepting this card affect my credit rating? If you got this card how easy is it to find things to spend it on? Can I use this to purchase a pre-paid PHYSICAL CARD for something like Starbucks?
thanks and as a new member I hope to connect with you more in the future. As soon as my head stops spinning!

I had a different code approved, 2022 HINT P11, but I haven't been able to try to use my virtual card yet. I clicked the link to add to Apple Wallet but after accepting the terms and conditions (which I did not read) it says "Card not added. Contact your card issuer for more information." I hope you have better luck. I'd like to know the answers to your questions too!
So far we like our home internet and are not experiencing any more glitches than with our prior provider.

I just noticed that my T-Mobile bill includes a $20 credit labelled 2022 HINT P11. When I searched the web I found this thread.
I “think” this is how I am getting my gateway for $30 rather than $50 per month. So the “virtual card” is just an internal system T-Mobile uses to handle special credits during promotions, it seems.
The OP asked whether this would affect credit ratings. I would assume it wouldn't, since it is the equivalent of a gift card you receive at store sometimes when you return an item. No credit check is involved. It is just a way of giving you the cash, but restricting your use of it.
Just guessing, but this would be a way to handle things if T-Mobile has to charge tax on the total cost ($50/month for my gateway, say) but wants to reduce your cost by $20/month. The $50 is the cost, tax is based on the cost, and then this promo credit is applied internally as a payment. So on the bill it can list the cost as $30 but the computer system can accurately calculate the tax.
I don't work for T-Mobile. I am just a customer who has tried repeatedly to make sense of my bill. When we signed up we traded in phones and got "free" upgraded phones. That included about five tricky booking moves that I still can't explain, but that seem to be similar designed to reduce the price but still handle taxes correctly.
Hope you enjoy the service. I LOVE the T-Mobile Tuesday prizes, especially the physical things they give away with their logo.

I have called SEVERAL TIMES and STILL can't find my $50 pre paid gift card. Plz help quide me there. It has NOT been a smooth transition for me to change over to T-Mobile. If I was to do this again, I WOULDN'T do it.
