Returned phone not found

My phone was sent back via UPS.  I have confirmation of it being received,  when, and where.  TMobile is charging me over a $1000 for a non returned phone.  Told me to take it up with UPS.  I called UPS and they say it was delivered and accepted by TMobile.  Any suggestions?  I have talked to numerous representatives.
