Why are you going to charge $20 a month to pay with a credit card?
I just got an email telling me that I am going to be charged $20 a month to use a credit card to pay my monthly bill. This is beyond ridiculous. Why is this happening.
if you would take the time to do a quick search or look a few threads down. It's because credit card companies charge significantly higher rates and fees for the business on transactions than debit cards from banks.
Maybe, but it is not just direct costs. There are also costs associated with the instability of the cash flow, the potential increase in the number of account suspensions and reactivations due to missed payments, the increased customer service calls due to those suspensions, etc. Autopay saves them a lot of money and headaches otherwise they wouldn't have offered a discount on it in the first place.
