Lost capability to text: Contacts show sip:[phone number]@msg.pc.tmobile.com;user=phone
Hola,
I used to text this mobile phone for several months. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S21. However, today, the text fails to be sent. Then, I look at my contacts for the mobile phone number and it is changed to:
sip:[phone number]@msg.pc.tmobile.com;user=phone
I removed this and updated the contacts with the correct phone number, but the text does not go through and the contacts is changed back to sip:[phone number]@msg.pc.tmobile.com;user=phone
Any idea what is going on? I am able to text other people.
Gracias,
Paul

Having the same issue only to one number. This is very frustrating. Got a message from support nothing found ….WHAT???? So just leave me handing?…. We have 3 people who cannot text to this number. Come on T Mobile……FIX THIS

We both got phone updates and everything went back to normal for about 2 weeks. Now, messages to her failing again. This is how it started last time.

I am also having this problem. My daughter and I text my husband and they fail. My son's text to him ARE going through. Started just in group texts, now every text since Thursday (4 days).
Has anyone found a solution yet?? We've been to Tmobile location 3 times now.

I also had to install a new app! I chose Google, too. I don't like it as much, but at least i can text my husband! I do plan to see if the TMobile tech route brewbuddy mentioned helps, too. Just need my to catch up with life for a minute...lol.

Another fix is too download in the app store Google messages. Google LLC. Is the one you want. Use that and set as default. It's a Samsung app problem not T-Mobile so if you hate this problem that much be mad at Samsung.

Yes, texting to 1 family member was our issue, as well. We had Samsung phones, texting a non-samsung. Changing to the Google Text app (rTger than phone's default app) worked for us.

HI Paul. I had the same problem. Store rep nor tech support had a solution. So I looked at my dads phone (he is the one I was trying to group msg but system wouldn't allow it). I used his phone and created a group then sent us a msg. Then when I received his group text, I was able to respond to the entire group. Problem solved. I then was able to add more recipients from my phone in the message. Hope this helps

Hello lovelies!
I figured something out! I have been using Samsung messages because that is the best place messaging app to customize. This same issue started happening with my grandfather's contact and I went through the steps Samsung said which were to wipe my phones cache, reset network settings, and repair apps. This did not resolve this issue, BUUUUUT what did resolve the issue was changing my default messaging app back to the regular google messaging app the phone first comes equipped with. I immediately was able to send my grandfather RCS messages. I know I have seen in support threads from Samsung that they keep claiming the issue is Tmobile and MetroPCS, but I almost do not think that is accurate anymore. We need to drill Samsung to see why the google messaging app doesn't do what their Samsung messaging app does do.

Hello everyone. My wife has had the very same problem, so I came here to see if anyone would have a fix. And, no, however, I have fixed mine. I tried the clear default thing and it didn't work. Ok, my wife had a group chat set up up with her, me, and my son. i sent a text with her phone, through the group chat and I received it. I sent a reply and the group chat received it. After that I noticed on my wife's phone that my number was back to normal. I then sent a message from her to me and badaboom, it was fixed.
I don't know if it will work for everyone else, but maybe set up a group chat and try it. Hope it helps everyone. Merry Christmas!!
