Airplay

Apple TV 3rd generation is successfully setup on new T-Mobile WiFi (Netflix et al streaming fine) except it won't recognize this device to airplay. Recognizes other devices but not this Apple TV  streaming device. Suggestions? Everything has been rebooted, shut down, restarted, etc. many times.
