NEW IPHONE 16
Is there a release date for the new IPhones? and is there a way that we can do like an early sign up or deposit to get one?

Per my earlier post, Apple did not and will not announce anything regarding iPhone 16 until the day it is announced.
They did announce as I stated and look now it’s been announced as September 10 for the announcement!
Apple has announced today 8/26 an online event scheduled 9/9. While it is almost certain that is when the iPhone 16 models will be shown, Apple has not officially announced any products. Since there are no product announcements before 9/9 there will be no pre-orders before 9/9. When the pre-orders will start for what products will be detailed on 9/9.
It’s semantics but to the OP’s initial question - no there are no pre-orders until Apples says so.

Well its released today so where is the early ordering or phones on T-Mobile?
The Apple Event on 9/9/2024 said the iPhone 16 would be available on 9/20/2024; however, there is no mention of it on the t-mobile website. Can we pre-order with a trade-in?
There is no official announcement from Apple that iPhone 16 even exists so no release date. Just like every year, once the announcement is made, every carrier and store starts taking pre-orders the same day. There is no way to be the first in line unless you physically camp out at an Apple Store.

If you plan to buy from Tmobile, you will need to wait until Tmobile tells you when and how you can buy but it will not be any sooner than Apple’s pre-orders which start Friday 9/13 with first shipments arriving on 9/20 as Tim Cook detailed today.
If you want to buy from Apple you can go to the online store now and see what the prices and trade ins are. Note these are trade ins to Apple and not any carriers.
If you are not on a Tmobile plan that gives you promotional trade in values, I would just buy directly from Apple as you tend to get a few more dollars for trade in and you can take your phone to a store to complete the trade in if you are concerned about losing it during shipping. If you have the Apple Card then you also get 3% cash back and 0% financing plus your full trade in value credited up front.
Edit - As of 1:30PM PDT the carrier promos are available to view on Apple’s online store.
