5GUC
I am to my wits end with this 5GUC crap. My phone simply doesn't work when on it and hasn't since their rollout. With the amount of complaints, why is T-Mobile ignoring this issue? I keep my phone on LTE just so I can use data when not on WiFi because of this. This is completely unacceptable. Why won't T-Mobile address the serious issue?

Over 2 days ago I left a 3 paragraph response about my problems with 5GUC and my customer service calls over the last few months. Where is my post?
Is this it?
This is me, but not the post I was referring to. I think they filtered it out because of some of the choice words I had for them and calling them out for their poor customer service over the last 2 months.

When is T-Mobile gonna fix this issue? There are multiple threads on this same issue within the T-Mobile Community and never see a response from their support team. Do they even look at these msgs? Been dealing with this since I got my new Samsung A25 phone. Works as expected with LTE and 5G, but as soon as it displays 5GUC the phone might as well be a paper weight. UC must not stand for Ultra Capacity. I've had multiple calls into support….THAT TAKES 45min everytime, along with their screaming kids in the background as they work from home, and still nothing. The last person tried to tell me the issue was that the unlocked phone I bought from Best Buy was locked and that was the issue. Seriously? I gotta say she seemed so confident I hesitated for 3 seconds in believing her, then called BS. But that's what you get when you have a person following a check list while TSing.
So T-mobile….. Why don't I see these same issued with Verizon customers complaining about their Ultra Wideband service? Why did you roll out a capability to your Network without making sure your back haul software and equipment was ready to support it? Why did I buy a new 5G phone to only be able to use LTE? You should reimburse me for the $300 I spend on this thing or credit my account every month until your get your Network working properly. And while you are at it, adjust your exagerated 4G and 5G coverage maps. Cause we all know that is a lie.
By the way….I came over from Verizon approx 2 years ago to get what I thought was a simple cell service in 2024 while saving some money! Gotta say, I never had connection issues while with Verizon. I guess that's my bad and I get what I pay for. On my way to a Verizon store to get a 30 Day trial to further prove that this issue is your Network. If I remember and still with T-Mobile, I will post results to read by all...except a customer service person.

5GUC makes my S21 ULTRA phone USELESS. I don't get my texts and notifications. My internet shuts down COMPLETELY. I have to switch airplane mode on and off. If that doesn't work, I have to turn it off, and back on. It's sad that we were better off with Sprint... Shoot, NEXTEL was more dependable than THIS!! We went to a competitor's hot spot, now. I'd ditch the phone service I've had since the 90's in a heartbeat if family didn't travel to Germany often for work!! FIX IT PLEASE.

We also have no coverage either pry gonna have to go get internet someplace else as I work from home and now they are costing me money while charging me for a broken unreliable service...think we need to all make a bigger fuss clearly T-mobile isn't hearing us

No problems with it myself.

Stop displaying 5GUC on the device. It overflows the notification area of the phone causing it to display a dot. Put 5G+ instead, or something shorter.

Anytime my phone switches to 5G UC the data connection slows down to a crawl. I'll barely get 10 MB download speed. When it flips to a standard 5G I'll get a 300 MB download speed. What a joke. If UC is supposed to be better then how come these losers can't get this right. Time to switch services
