Compatibility with Sony Xperia 1 V XQ-DQ44
I was wondering to what extent the XQ-DQ44 (Japanese unlocked version) is compatible with T-Mobile's network? I was thinking about getting it because of its FeliCa NFC compatibility which seems to be JDM exclusive.
Asian market devices 99.9% of the time are not compatible with T-Mobile USA's (Google's) stock implementation of VoLTE. With the 3G shutdown last year being compete. All US carriers require a compatible version of VoLTE for devices to work on their networks. Asian market devices usually have a VoLTE implementation compatible with Asian carriers, wven if that device is labeled as a global device and have a global firmware. It is very highly likely that this device will not be compatible with any US carrier.
