No 5G !!!!

When I first subscribed to T-Mobile 3 months ago, my IPhone 12 pro, was showing 5G everywhere and was working great.  A month later, I had NO network at all in my town and 30 miles down the road, in a much larger town (100K or more).. I was getting LTE.   What is up with their 5G???

  • any other TMO phones around you? and if so..are they pulling in 5G or running into the same issue?

  • Unfortunately, I have the same problem, after only one month of having the T-Mobile Home Internet.  It has worked wonderfully since from March 11th until April 3rd.  The 5G WiFi served our needs well for security devices and control devices around home.  We had a strong signal for 5G and LTE on our phones as well.  Then, suddenly on April 3rd, we had little to no signal on phones and zero WiFi with Home Internet.  I was told by T-Mobile "live chat" that the base tower was under service.  As of today, April 9th, our LTE phone signal has improved, but the 5G is inoperable, even though the phone shows a strong signal. The only way to use a 5G phone is to restrict it to 4G/LTE so that it won't connect to the 5G bands.  Home Internet Wifi is dead in the water, but still costing me $50/month.  I have no news on tower work or any solution to my problem.  I've researched it myself and believe the problem is definitely on theT-Mobile side, not in my network.  The Gateway web portal shows an active SIM and good Internet signals, but none of my devices have internet from the Gateway.  If not resolved by the end of the month, I'll have to "cut the cordless" and give up the Gateway device.  I do really hope it can be resolved but my time is limited in trying to connect with the right persons at T-Mobile.
