Not receiving text messages

I have not been receiving text messages from select people. These specific people still cannot send me texts. It seems they have been permanently blocked from sending texts to my phone. The missing messages do not show up on my account page on the T-mobile website so it does not appear to be a phone issue. The messages just seem to vanish and never make it to the T-mobile servers, otherwise there would be a record of the message in my account. The people sending me the texts have the 'sent' texts in their phones and there is no return message saying the text was not sent.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Its a life disrupting issue to say the least. 

While troubleshooting I have discovered that the calls are coming from Verizon and ATT and there is no correlation between the people. I did have wifi calling enabled which I just turned off. However, again, wouildn't the texts show up in my online account if they were sent? The messages appear to be blocked by T-mobile at a high level.
